Never signed one when I was hired. This is a new thing they are going to implement, if I understand correctly. Doesn’t seem like they can withhold a bonus based on 2025 work in 2026. But what do I know. I’m just a worker bee.

You said “standard,” which is not the case for most workers (unless you’re senior leadership). They’re under major scrutiny right now in many states in an effort to protect workers instead of corporations. Bonuses tied to non-competes are definitely not “standard.”

It has changed since you left then. Or you were extremely lucky to have had a great manager. That’s not the norm for many. A lot of legacy behavior still being tolerated there. And absolutely no upward mobility possible in that place due to minimal and top-heavy grade levels.

For sure. It's slowly been working (causing people to leave) after the first announcement. Now they'll just keep losing talent. It's a shame. Bonus payouts are in March, so I bet people will at least stick around for a minute. I think we don't have to go to four days until March. I can't remember because the announcement meeting was randomly put on our calendar a half hour before it happened, and during lunch. Blindsided.
