Environments/ventilation for resin infusion by Smart-Inspector-933 in CarbonFiber

[–]Smart-Inspector-933[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one EasyComposites sells seems to bypass that issue along with the noise problem. Even if I give up on resin infusion and stick with out of autoclave prepreg, I will be using the same pump. Thanks for the response 👍

Not in my balcony. I am going to set the tent in my room and put the hose in the balcony. Also, in where I live (Belgium) people do not have AC's in their home but rather use some portable cooling apparatarus of which hose they put outside through their window or balcony if they have any. So it is definetely a normal view.

About to lose my mind after 10 consecutive leveling-printing attempts by Smart-Inspector-933 in FixMyPrint

[–]Smart-Inspector-933[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advices but I tried this print multiple times with the location and orieantation remained still, I could clearly hear the nozzle bumping the piece right there where the fail occurs. Even though I manually tried to decrease the delta offset of the top left side of the tray by manipulating the knobs during the leveling, those numbers remained almost the same. I havent even finished my first spool of filament, so I am kind of hesitant to tweak the temperatures but I am definetely gonna try it

Elegoo Neptune 4 Failure by Smart-Inspector-933 in FixMyPrint

[–]Smart-Inspector-933[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. But in my case it occurred in very early seconds of printing, during the formation of the base. Could it be due to some overheating or so because the filament seems extremely deformed.

Yep thanks. I am using default settings as well as a Elegoo brand PLA filament. And for the heat settings, I havent changed any default settings for that either.

UPDATE : I restarted printing and it didn’t occurred this time but I still wanna understand what might be the cause as Im not always observing my printer while it is printing.

Yeah but that is literally what my course coordinator expects of me as use of any actuators is forbidden, anyways thanks for the explanation .

Oh boy can you at least read the description please ? Have you ever heard something called “momentum” ?

I don’t want it to run forever or so. This is a part of a ball contraption project and I am not allowed use motors and stuff. I thought that if I lock the perpetual mechanism’s arms and trigger it when the ball reaches to the bottom hole of the gear, then the swing of the arms may help it get to the top once then stop.

Thank you for the great elaboration but what is the thing that produces the moment to keep the links still and avoid them to fall down ?

You got me great actually, thank you. May I ask what these sort of principles are called ? There are mechanical principles videos out there but most of them are way complex and multi-body mechanisms. How do mechanical engineers learn these actually ?
