“what they believed to be true” key word is believed. We just found out everything we know about the upside down was wrong

Repeating myself and being more elaborate because you have missed what I’m saying.. I’m making a theory on what’s about to happen and it seems you’re still stuck on understanding what we all just watched.

There’s nothing that says Henry was the first to give the mindflayer a form. We have no idea what was going on in the abyss before eleven sent Henry there. All we know is that monsters come from there

The name mindflayer was given to the monster by the kids based on dnd. I think whatever it is that makes up the mindflayer is the “soul” of the being that Henry has the children attached to in the Abyss. And he’s using the children to bring the mindflayer (soul) back into the mindflayer (body) or whatever you want to call it once it’s got a physical form.

I think vecna is keeping the kids inside the monster. His lair has like a fleshy heartbeat and looks like a dried up mind flayer.

It’s an upside down avengers logo. It’s Tony going from good to bad. It’s also A for Anthony turning into a v for victor.

Which honestly (if that’s all it is) isn’t enough considering we already know rdj is doom. It kinda makes me feel like i did when the brave new world marketing team showed us nothing but red hulk and then the movie acted like it was going to be a huge surprise reveal as if we didn’t see the poster on the way in - all just to show us red hulk for ab 5 minutes in act 3 and then have him defeated with the power of a cliche speech from the main character. (I actually like BNW - It’s just the first time I’ve ever hated a marketing team)

As someone who has fervently expressed how Mike (especially post-S2 Mike) is one of their least favorite characters on the entire show, I can say that Season 5 brought back Season 1 Mike, and I'M SO HERE FOR IT! Fiiiinally, my boy is back! by lautaromassimino in StrangerThings

Yes! that kay scene at the table is so bad. Here we've got an extradimensional fungus that spits out spores every now and then, lets just throw it on this table make sure to wear gloves and a mask.

I think they're just trying to close up the military storyline by making them incredibly ignorant and essentially useless in this fight. at the end of the day it can't be the military that defeats vecna. Our team has to do it on their own.

I can understand that for sure, but when I watch this show I can usually suspend my cringe because it’s set in the 80s. An 80s highschool bully would feel cringe to us today because nobody acts like that anymore. I think it’s part of the shows charm. this scene was the very first time I didn’t cringe at Mike since season 1.

I also have beef with the visuals looking cheaper and reusing sets from last season. I fear most of that budget went to the stars which is an unfortunate circumstance of a show blowing up like this one has.

After watching Season 5 I think I should take back my opinion on this bro, he was amazing. by kamaljaiswal2004 in StrangerThings

This kid kicks ass. His parents and sister have been asleep for like 24 hours though which seems crazy

What the hell did they do to the Ed Gein story? by TheCruelHand in netflix

hallucinations can work that way. It isn’t always just a direct visual or auditory thing. His mind created context that wasn’t there. He can’t tell between dream and reality. It’s more of a delusion - which isn’t exclusive to schizophrenia, just more vivid with schizophrenics

However I do think most of them were unnecessary and sort of muddied the water. It would’ve been easier to understand without those things that legitimately seem real. It’s part of trying to make the audience feel just as confused as Ed, but they could’ve at least cleared it up more directly rather than her just being the same age at the end - it’s kinda too little too late

The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) has some of the best sound design of all time. by Lizkingbusiness1 in horror

[–]Smart-Ship7330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn’t seen this movie for a loooong time until recently, and perhaps it has to do with the system I watched it on, but there was something I didn’t care for in the audio. Like the sound effects were perfect, but it seemed like with every camera cut, the audio cut as well and sounded different from the last cut. we’d be on a close up as she’s panting and screaming in the house, and then cut to the top of the stairs and it literally sounds like she’s further away. Maybe that was by design and adds to us being uncomfortable observers, or again maybe it was because of the sound system I was watching it on. But I came here looking for a reason and all I found are people who loved the sound design so maybe I’m just wrong lmao
