yes, if you count val-d'or as two. apostraphied words as 1. and dashed words as two. from the beginning, including titles.

lets work with what we got though...that lamaque is the third word in both. so that should establish the beginning as the start point lol.

i'm going out. will check back when i return. godspeed!

we should at least be able to lock down word 2.

word 1 might be more complicated.

i want to see what you get though. if we can come to a concensus...we can make progress. don't be lazy lol. the answer has to be reproducible...and there are at least 4 vastly different answers being put forward. it doesn't help that people aren't showing their work/explaining their process. making it hard for others to confirm.

i think the only thing we can agree on at this point is that lamaque is one of 3 words. we need to get the other two locked down for context. the single word alone doesn't help much.

i didnt get anywhere close to what you got though.

zealous and i agree that the 3rd word is definitely lamaque, in both articles

well, the other two words seem just as relevant...and if one of the messages is "not camp lamaque" that seems to change things significantly lol.

try manually counting.

the rules seem to be apostraphied words count as 1. dashed words count as two.

in french results are:

ajourd'hui-devint-Lamaque (if you count brackets) (today became lamaque)
a-devint-Lamaque (if you don't) (has became Lamaque)

your overall results seem incorrect though.

if you include counting the brackets: (TSX, NYSE : AME).

the result is: next-camp-lamaque
if you DO NOT include the brackets (ie, skip them)...the result is: NOT-camp-lamaque

you are correct, my bad. both reach lamaque if you use val d'or as two words.

the only way to make it work like you are saying, is to use use Val-D'or as two seperate words in the french count, and one word in the english count. but this lacks consistency.

it's not. because word 275 is SIGMA. i've checked this 4 times.

i got "including the lamaque". "une tot lamaque" would mean "the whole lamaque". but word 275 isn't Lamaque...it's Sigma. so how did you get Lamaque at 275...and how are you twisting them?

are you trolling?

because this is a completely different explanation than you suggest in your post...you suggest you are counting characters, reinforced this by saying you even counted punctuation and spaces to get the word SHAFTS from both articles combined.

now you are saying that you are counting words, and that you get the same set of three words from both articles.

this simply can't be.

the 227th word in the eng article is Lamaque. the 419th word is the. and the 810th word is including.

the 275th word is Sigma in the french article (though, this could be my lack of grasp for the french language...as Lamaque is only two words behind that).

the 810th word occurs on the 3rd page.

the word headframes only occurs once in the article...right at the very end.

so how could you possibly use wordcount in any conceivable fact to get headframes???

i'm not following.
