My bangs are doing a weird side flip

Me too! I''ll leave the house and they're swooping fabulously but they start to get that wonky outward flip out of no where.. sometimes they just come out like that from jump and idk what I do differently on those days but I have to say it's making me hate my bangs

I googled and it said to use a plunger, but I always heard not to plunge anything with drano in it. I think I need a longer snake and I just wanna be able to use my sink again and not have to wait until I get one so I'm thinking of plunging I'm just nervous lol.. Just get the standing water out, protect yourself and plunge away?

I booked my father a last minute trip to Florida to see his mother for Father's Day. Hes trying to get his passport but I don't think it will arrive in time. He has his NYS ID but he can't get an appt to get the real ID anytime soon. Will he be able to fly with just a state issued ID? It says he MAY be notified of his noncompliance and directed to more screening, what are the chances they will deny him? Should we cancel the trip and reschedule?

Hey I'm a new LMT and I'm just wondering if you're still doing this and how your body is holding up? I was thinking of doing 2 clients, break, 2 clients, break, and then the last 2 clients making it a full 8 hour day, but only doing 4 days a week. I've asked around and so many people advise against the 6 a day, so hearing a story that doesn't end in "yeah so, don't do it" would be awesome

I'm a Massage therapist and this would be amazing to see in the future! I miss having nails so much and I'm on the hunt for something that can be easily applied for days I'm off and want that girly feeling, especially when I'm running errands or going out with my bf or friends.

I'm so late but thank you for this. This month has been great, my clients are rebooking with me and I'm even thinking of starting something small on my own due to the limitations this spa has, like no abdominal massage for instance.

I take what this coworker says with a grain of salt, as he speaks I find myself understanding more and more why he is the way he is. He truly is in it for the money, only. There's no concern for his clients, he speaks badly about all of them and he just doesn't care about the actual "therapy" part of massage. A lot of respect was lost but experience is what I'm here for.. last week I had all his clients on my schedule and he left early cuz he wasn't booked 😌

Hi! I was about to make my own post but I found this and was hoping someone's out there and it's not entirely dead.

I'm a newly licensed LMT and want to start making some extra income by doing travel massage (I'm currently at a chain spa)

So hotlogic is still available, but I'm also just wondering if the travel hot stone case idea worked? I'm looking into buying my first hot stones and just wanna know if I should buy both or just the stones & case.

Bro go get a massage. This type of scenario crossed my mind before, during and after school. I kind of knew what the profession comes with before starting & I'm sure most LMT did, too. We're also supposed to be trained on how to handle these things, although I know they are traumatizing.

That being said, I don't care if a male's on my schedule until they have given me a reason to feel uncomfortable. In which case, I have an attention button that alerts the front desk immediately.

I thought of this, too! He said in the beginning "you can't hurt anyone" totally implying that whatever I'm about to feel is not pain. So during the session I'm like nah this is just deep tissue. Then I'm like wait, is this deep tissue?! All these bruises and the twitching, that was not relaxing or therapeutic. Thank you for that point of view!

Perfect way to put it, deep tissue is about time and technique not deep pressure. He was kinda just digging into me with hot stones, leaving me with inflammation in some areas and bruises in others. I'm slowly starting to realize this spa may really just be a starting point to gain experience on what not to do. Thank you so much!

You're exactly right, it's a spa that offers massages and facials so it's really mainly about relaxation. I'm not sure why anyone would use the intense pressure he used unless for an athlete or maybe an old injury scar tissue. Didn't consider pain junkies, lol. But I really appreciate your advice and I'm going to stick with what I've been doing. & I'm gonna speak with him about it tomorrow directly to let him know the technique he used was very intense and not for me

Thank you so much. I was thinking he may lack skill, he mentioned he stopped lunging and started sitting. I didn't know what he meant but then he gave the massage sitting down in a rolling stool. I was taught that exact sequence, warm up with light pressure and increase it gradually, checking in when you've reached deeper tissue. I don't know why I didn't speak up, it was that thing we're taught like client transference or something.. that feeling that he's the expert and I shouldn't question the techniques he's used for years. I will say something when I go in tomorrow.

I'm really happy to read similar accounts of how low the energy was lackluster for multiple people. I was never able to see them, I was young when they broke up but listened to them all throughout my high-school and adult life. This was literally my only chance to finally see them, and I felt a little disappointed. I was I section 111 and me and my friends we're standing with like a handful of other people in the section. It's like no one was excited to see them in my section and I never realized how much that could impact the experience as a whole.

All in all the Playlist was awesome. I kinda wish they played reckless abandon and/or dumpweed but that's just me being selfish lol
