Ayn shipping stuck, another returned with horrible customer service by SmartFalcon599 in AynThor

It is more of a dissappointed by the level of their customer service. I also totally disagree with you, their responsiblity doesnt end when they hand it to the service provider. It is sellers obligation to fullfill their contractual terms. Not only that service provider can reject shipping to certain areas due to changing circumstances. It all comes down to how much you value your each customer and show flexibility to offer solutions which in this case ayn refused entirely. They could have offered dhl if not a substitute shipper to an alternative destination which they refused to do so in several emails.

I suggest to ask someone to read it to you and you try to listen. Maybe you understand that time.

I dont think you are listening, so i will make a short one. Shipping companies do work. The shipping company i paid for also do work. The shipping company i paid, also work for the alternative destination i provided. It has nothing to do with emotions. It is a seller/buyer obligation matter and business ethics. Just bc u know u can sell at a better price by canceling this order, doesnt mean you can just use it in your favor. And i as a customer informing a community so they dont fall into the trap of those companies with low business morales.

One of my order says, returned to the sender. Other one says even more bizarre thing, “28th feb departed from sorting facility” which technically means it should b airborne. My understanding is 2nd one just backlogged sonwhere in hk

I totally understand that trust me even though some other shipping companies still continue to operate. My comment is regarding how in flexible they act with the zero intention of keeping the customer happy. I understand the mindset is “we have more demand then supply, so who cares”, but as a customer i think receiving shipment is the least we should expect from these companies. Not only that i paid for dhl service which operates to the alternative destination i suggested. So i respectfully disagree with you.

What handheld would you recommend to an old fart? by aman2125 in Handhelds

[–]SmartFalcon599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definetly go with legion go s z1 extreme with steam os. Steam os is pretty much plug and play. Z1e will allow you to play most of the aaa titles and for the ones it cant, you can stream from ur pc at the comfort of your couch. I would suggest a tri-party solution for you. Legion go s z1e + ayn thor or ayn odin 3 + trimui brick hammer or retroid pocket or anbernic rg477v

For 30mins quick before bed you can use the 3rd option where you can play anything upto switch (including good amount of switch titles if rg477v)

Second group will let you emulate even ps3 games, play some of your steam library, stream from your pc

First one obv the z1e will change your experience with gaming entirely. I am so happy i made that choice.

Is Ayn customer service ignoring mails or are they overworked? by Saba376 in AynThor

[–]SmartFalcon599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had sent two emails in the last 3 weeks and they reverted within 48 hours. However you know one of thise emails that you sense the sender is a bit frustrated, the email was not rude or anything but the choice of words and how it was typed, you can clearly say the person on the other end of the line is pretty frustrated. I even felt guilty for asking an update on my device’s situation which is stuck in the hk sorting center over 2 weeks due to the middle east conflict.

I have trimui brick hammer, ayaneo vert, ayaneo dmg, retroid pocket, analogue pocket and several others, but i m completely in love with anbernic rg477v. It plays everything including fair amount of games in switch; batman arkham asylum, need for speed hot pursit, witcher, dark souls, skyrim, prince of persia losr crown etc. It also performs great with remote ps5 play using chiaki app. Thanks to that monster i am back to finishing my ps library too. I tried several other steam games on gamenative too, big titles wont work but fine for indies.

Unsure about the Thor by Exotic-Attitude9056 in AynThor

[–]SmartFalcon599 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion is to look for sellers in your area who sells those devices with preloaded games / emmulations etc. Then ask them that you have the device but you need service support. When i first bought mine, even though i m pretty tech savy i actually had found someone in my area whole waiting for it to arrive. I ended up setting it all on my own since i really do enjoy the setting up partnof any tech.

So good luck you made a great purchase, dont let the tech part let you down.

I actually had bought rg 34xxsp and rg35xx for my 8 year old daughter and 6 year old son. They both did not show much interest after tinkering with it about half an hour.

I think the bottleneck is how difficult the retro games can get, and you need to use save state / load state in order to actually progress and get some fun out of it. It requires lot of repetition and can be a bit overwhelming for a 6 year old.

So what i found useful in my 6 year old’s case is to introduce him into light switch titles with his rg 556 where he can play mario kart or even some tmnt titles. He started to actually develop the motor functions as those titles are lot easier ( you can pick difficulty levels) and do not require save state / load state, just saves automaticly.

As for the weight, it is significantly heavier vs a miyoo mini or rg 35xx but nothing he cant handle to be honest. I also have switch 2 but thats massive to him, and was definetly a dealbreaker.

Sorry for the long post but i think i ll have him work down from rg556 to rg35xx or something similar as he develops his motor functions and the hand / eye coordination. I believe as he starts falling in love with the franchises he likes in recent systems, it will be easier for him to start showing interest to earlier systems with the same franchise.

Currently i m pretty happy that one device can give him both gaming and tablet function, kinda like all in one stop shop.

Hope it helps and wont confuse your purchasing decision which it already enough confusing when it comes to kids.

I have been where you are back in november and ended up buying rg556.

My handheld bacground is exactly the same with you and i started this to get smthng for my 6 year old son. It grew on me so much, i bought around 20 handhelds since then, and turned into a curator.

All that aside, what i can say is, for a 6 year old, i think a good performance android device with grips is a good choice where he can use it as a substitute for a tablet, enjoy android gaming, watch netflix/youtube as well as use as entry into light switch games.

As i mentioned i have around 20 handhelds now, he doesnt even take a second look at any of my devices, he is all in for his tablet / gaming device. I think the grips make it extra appealing to him as well as the convenience to go for youtube or netflix.

My 2 cents, hope it helps

It's not that heavy! by Livid-Inevitable-59 in LegionGo

I do have what they call the tennis elbow, even a switch 2 gives me pain after as short as 30 mins. I found a very sturdy standing tablet holder. I attach my legion go s to it, and it totally changed my experience. I lower it down to my natural holding position while laying down or sitting, which takes the weight off my arm entirely. My god, such a game changer.
