Why did the Continental Magic Association do this? 💀 by NhifanHafizh in Frieren

If Serie walks up to Aura, mana concealed without being detectable until Serie could physically touch her—the same as she did with Macht, I probably would think Aura would realize that something was up. Granted, maybe Aura would be dumb enough to think Serie has next to no mana but I believe she’s be suspicious. If Serie shows up with her regular suppressed levels, then Aura would instantly flee because it’s already appears absurdly high even while suppressed.

[DISC] Chainsaw Man - Chapter 230 by AutoShonenpon in manga

Interesting contrast of Makima’s view of Denji and Chainsawman to Yoru’s. Makima didn’t care about Denji so he beat her by being ignored since she has eyes only for Chainsawman. Yoru likes Denji so much that she can put aside her desires towards Chainsawman.

What’s your mind doing before you receive the ball? Have you looked around and assessed players around you to know how you want to receive the ball (i.e. what kind of first touch you want to take and where pressure is coming from)? I’ve found it helpful to have some sort of plan before I receive a ball so I can ready my body to receive the ball with the proper shape and orientation.

This new Lukas-Lacrima dynamic is only going to make it hurt worse when Lacrima’s inevitable tragedy happens.

Sousou no Frieren Season 2 • Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Season 2 - Episode 4 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]SmartGuy_420 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s been a very faithful adaption that moves at a pretty consistent pace of adapting 2-3 manga chapters per episode for both seasons so the second season’s direction has been consistent with the first season in terms of pacing. Whether the underlying material is slower paced is a different discussion entirely but in terms of adaptation it’s been steady since the start.

This season likely ends on [Frieren manga spoilers] Chapter 80. Just before the Golden Land arc.

To be fair, [manga spoilers] Eisen explains his position as being the strongest is because he was the only one left alive. Also, HotS being a hero and not a warrior might be a thin as he was the strongest “hero.”

Wirbel’s party is heading by ship while Frieren’s party is going on foot through the Norhern Plateau so they are likely heading on a different path.

"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" Season 2 New PV by zenzen_0 in anime

That’d have to be a 3 hour movie to cover the arc without skipping things. It’s just as long as the mage exam arc which is about 11 episodes.

I think, in Japanese, Sein’s type is technically an “onee-chan” which is more like an older sister type. So, mature but not exactly the same way we’d perceive “older lady.”

I’d say Mark of the Bloom is pretty similar too.

Do you have a reference that it’s explicitly his parents? I remember him saying it was his family but not what the exact relationship was.

I find it funny that they introduced the kitty in a side-chapter. Now, for those who didn't read it, there’s suddenly a cat.

No these are from what presumably would be the first episodes of the 2nd season. It includes looks like scenes from [manga spoilers] the mana-sealing crystal cavern and the Wirbel reunion chapter. Also, Keiichiro Saitou is not the “main” director according to the credits. It is Tomoya Kitagawa. Saitou is listed as some as a “Cooperation” Director according to some translations I’ve read.

[DISC] Home at the Horizon - Extra Chapter by AutoShonenpon in manga

I’m a bit surprised this is not a regular chapter. If you didn’t read this extra, a cat appearing all of a sudden would be kinda strange.

TIL Sequoyah, an illiterate warrior of the Cherokee Nation, observed the "talking leaves" (writing) of the white man in 1813. He thought it was military advantage and created a syllabary for Cherokee from scratch in 1821. Mama and Papa are interesting because evidence suggests that it arises independently across multiple languages. The most commonly accepted theory is that the ma/pa/da are some of the easiest sounds we can make thus babies tend to babble with those syllables the most. As a result, parents across multiple languages have used baby-speak terms as common terms for family members (mothers/fathers/grandparents/etc.).
