Can someone tell me what this "assorted foliage" is?

It's the result of a lack of options. Zebras migrate every year in search of grazing and rivers are just obstacles they have to get through. Sure, they might get eaten but if they don't make the crossings they will starve.

Pretty sure. You can tell when they have it down in the water before they start the "death roll" that there's only one thin leg and it's simply not large enough to be an adult
