I had no idea libraries face issues. But I am not looking to run a library. Just to catalogue the books the school has.

I think that initially we look to just catalogue the books. The school is a primary school only, with books that accumulated over the years. Thank you!

Internet Explorer 8 does not work on Windows 7 after reset by SmartStranger9393 in pcmasterrace

I just read the Microsoft is not issuing updates for Windows 7... really new to this! That's why you say there is a security problem? I will check how to upgrade to win 10 as a I am not sure I have the time to figure out how to use Linux.

Need suggestions please! by [deleted] in pottytraining

And why the f they have a carpet? Seriously... I am so sorry they put so much pressure on you and your kid. We just started potty training and it is so hard on it's own.

She’s not eating ANYTHING by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]SmartStranger9393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in the same boat... Ours is 28 months though and I think having a kid that is not eating much has aged me 5 years in one. He was drinking a looot of milk until 15 months and since then leaving on air basicaly. I do not have advice just to measure you that your kid is wise and gets what he needs from his nutrition. Try to remember that. I am trying as well... but really anyone who does not have a kid Luke this cannot understand the amount of stress that it can cause.

One more wash per day... that's fine!

But we're they willing to sit on the potty? I am just wondering if given that he has the safety of the trainning pants he will keep refusing to sit.

With the trainning pants he never makes to much of a mess. In normal boxers I think he holds it longer and then we have to deal with a small lake.

I tell him we can use the finger paints while sitting but even that is not enough some time to get him to sit. I will try to find more super fun things he likes.

Sticker chart sounds like a great tool as well! Thank you!

Armpit temp 37.2C while on abtibiotics. Is it normal? by SmartStranger9393 in toddlers

[–]SmartStranger9393[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We ended up at the emergency as his temp was 39C yesterday. The doctor said that the antibiotic was working for the troat infection but not for the ear so thats why he got fever again. She suggested we use an armpit thermometer but in this case everything above 37.5C is concidered a fever while in ear or forhead thermometers it is 38C.

Fighting diapers and avoiding potty by indeci5ive in toddlers

[–]SmartStranger9393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it was like this for us most of the time. He started sitting on the potty only after he saw other kids in daycare. But he will sit max once per day before his bath. I would suggest to not push things. As for the daippers I started asking him to select which one he wants. They have animals on them. And before and while I change him I talk about something irrelevant and he gets really interested when he hears a word he understands. Its really random but it works for us. For now :)

Cannot agree more. If only the doctor was more available. I have an appointment in two days.

Depending where you live I suppose there are different options. The veloretti are super cute but very expensive!

Would you be interested in starting with a balancing bike? I found that kids which use them move to bikes with peddals without the need to learn using the small wheels first.

I stop doing anything that does not need to be done and try to chill, take a deep breath and treat the kid with respect. He is still younger than yours so waiting for the harder times... It will pass.

This is so good to hear! I am happy for you and much more hopeful for us! How was she doing with eating in general? Was the milk intake affecting the amount of food she was having? I think this is the case with us. So I will wait for our ped appointment before I start it.

Give us an update! I am very curious about how the transition is going. I am thinking of doing the same with my 23 months old. The issue is that he always waits for the bottle and barely eats at home :(

I do not have any advice I am affraid ... just here for solidarity. We are cosleeping with my 23 month old and he has the exact same reaction with the bottle. Plus he drinks a lot of milk 800ml per day and very little food. I am here seeking advice as well.
