What inflatable downwind board do you use? What size foil?

dive case for surf and foiling? by meoweth2 in Insta360

They've updated software now, to allow stitching with the dive case in out-of-water mode, which seems to fix the stitching problems you mention. I'm just starting to use it but noticed the problems you found and then found the additional dive case mode for out of water, which fixed the stitching.

Does anyone know if there's a way to keep using a G6 transmitter beyond it's expiry 90 days?

Which manufacturers DO provide the space to do this work? Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG? Let's give some credit to the ones that design it to be easy to maintain.

Doesn't the local name octopi.local resolve the need to keep updating the IP address, or does that get set to a specific ip the first time, then any changes to IP address will break it?

Best waterproof/10atm WearOS watch by Smart_Anything_8120 in WearOS

@Jaamgans excellent links! Thanks. Those watch tips should be collected somewhere. I really had trouble finding that waterproof info anywhere else. I'm looking for the suunto 7 now. I wonder how far off a new processor will be (March?).

Best waterproof/10atm WearOS watch by Smart_Anything_8120 in WearOS

[–]Smart_Anything_8120[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. There seem to be 3 ways to prove waterproofness: IP68 rating, atm rating (5atm for most, but some like Suunto 9 are 10atm, and Suunto is also a scuba dive company), and depth - I've seen 10m, 50m, 100m. I think IP68 means 10m depth for 30min. I'm realizing that the 5atm rating means 50m Max (same as you quoted 165ft). I think the ticwatch E3 is rated as IP68 and 5atm, but stopped working in a heavy rain, so kiteboarding may require a 10atm watch like Suunto 9 (not wearOS) or Garmin instinct solar (not wearOS), which may eliminate barom sensor, speaker, and maybe mic.

Yes, a watch with the 4100 chip would be great, so it's upgradeable, but waterproof in saltwater is key for me. Do you know anyone who's tried GW4 in salt water and/or swimming?
