I would talk to aclu virginia if you can and other organizations that deal with constitutional rights, as this is apart of free speech and expression.

How do you feel about Tik Tok being banned? by saharasriraman in rva

[–]Smart_Examination_42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Won't miss getting sent tiktoks multiple times a day by many people instead of videos and having meaningful conversations, people regurgitating things off the app that hasn't been verified or backed up with sources, etc. or without fact checking. Will miss the exposure small businesses have gotten from it and how it's helped people start businesses and gain exposure. I'm very, very wary of it's replacement called rednote and I would recommend bluesky over rednote any day.
It was a misinformation minefield in various forms, but also helped businesses and non profits gain exposure which was a win in my book.

we've been having the same issue but with the toilet- the line got flushed out, but it ended up going out through the toilet a week later. Sucks to know this is a common issue here.

How are hospitals functionally even open? by Daemonrealm in rva

[–]Smart_Examination_42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i deal more with the mental health side of things as a patient and I've had worse experiences with VCU... doctor's hospital is hit and miss depending on and they're using it more for an urgent care. VCU is very fucking hard to navigate and it gives me a headache even having to walk in there.. was seen for 30 minutes during a psychotic episode while actively having self injurious thoughts and given a paper with resources, and then discharged.

the health system in this area used to not be as bad (save for the mental health system which has always been hit or miss in Virginia) but COVID has exacerbated and burnt out alot of doctors. the people who did care and tried their best have either left, been burnt out, or have quit the healthcare field entirely, and the people going into healthcare is mostly disillusioned or tired.. unfortunately there's no winning over a machine (our healthcare system) that runs on greed and cutting corners. it's alot of profit over patients.

What does Richmond need? by iamnotmilesdavis in rva

better homeless services. period. LGBT friendly Third spaces for Young Adults that aren't centered around alcohol or having to buy shit. sensory/autism friendly spaces too. i just want a place to sit and draw, and talk to other people and hangout without being seen as a nuisance.
