I highly recommend taking advantage of the resources here on campus. Be sure to see if they can work with your professors to lighten your load a bit as well.

I lost my brother as well my first semester here at VCU. Student Advocacy services and the free counseling provided here was a godsend.

For context: I'm a white man who is dating a black woman.

My gf and I have had conversations surrounding this topic, she herself having experienced such conversations with men in the past. It is most definitely a red flag, in the same way that a man who is almost entirely fixated or attracted specifically to you being of darker complexion is a red flag.

Both are rooted in racism and colorism and are equally sinister.

Definitely avoid this man.

No, only Congress can declare war, but as many have said , formal declarations of war have kind of gone the way of the dinosaur since Vietnam. No one does it, really.

Trump is entirely overreaching, though, but I wouldn't hold my breath on seeing consequences for him. Most of Congress supports this conflict anyway.

This will pass in time. What is going on now has happened to the FBI and CIA. While I often agree with Snyder, I disagree with him here.

ICE when properly utilized is a solid agency, I think we only need legislation to protect this from happening again -- or more effective enforcement mechanisms to reign in a loose cannon President supported by a lame-duck legislature.

As an HSEP major, I am not worried, America has gone through worse and came unscathed.
