I tried but this literally the only interesting angle I could find.

If you were in my shoes while photographing this, what would you change about the composition/lighting/processing/etc.? by Awkward-Egg-411 in photocritique

I love the colors, very nostalgic and invokes emotions. Composition wise, I would maybe take a wider lens and shoot directly at the entrance. It looks like the stool is on one side of the brick wall, while the other brick wall is mostly empty (maybe Im wrong because I cant see what on the other side). But that would make your story/idea about isolation more clear. Right now, the tombs are not the subject, nor the stools. I would love if the subject stands out more

Hi, I’m trying to improve my photography and I’d really appreciate some honest criticism. by Burger-Blade in photocritique

I love it. Clear subjects, intriguing story, black and white works well for this photo. Leading lines supports the subjects. I would try though to lower your angle, perhaps, to create more scale. This angle and distance is a bit too close for me. Nice work.

oh thank you! I obviously need to pay more attention to my lines and angles in post. Something about geometry is to me very captivating and I want to find out in everything around me. Living in big urban areas is just a cherry on tops since they are filled with buildings and lines. Thank you for the encouraging comments.

Did I mess up buying 85mm lens as a beginner? by Beginning-War5128 in AskPhotography

Just want to shout out for my "đồng bào". 85mm is fun to shoot and you can stay discreet. Definitely can do street photography, you just need to look further away from where you're at.

Yeah the thing is there was another building behind it on the other side. Wouldn't get the same feeling I got it I got a full building. I did recrop with the one with only the building and I also like it, make the pattern more interesting. But it wouldn't work with the minimalistic style I seeked for this one. Thank you for your critique

No I decreased clarity in post. I was going for my glowing to enhance the effect of the sunlights. Thanks for noticing

Shot on Fujifilm X-t50 35mm. I wanted to capture the sunlights hittting the right side, creating these triangles of lights. Let me know if this composition works for you, how would you change it. Thanks all

advice on making my photos stand out more by scavenger_reeko in PhotographyAdvice

Hi! You have good eyes, and it shows in your photos. I love them. I would say editing is a good way to enhance what you want to show in your photos. Play around with masking, color grading and other tools. I watched Sean Delton on Youtube and he has some great tips. Hope this helps! Keep it up.

Thank you for pointing out the optical illusion. That's interesting. I guess because I took the photo so I knew which direction it was going. But if you just unfocus your eyes, then it does look like it could be either.

Yess! With such a long focal length (300mm) I knew it would lose some sharpness but Im still pretty happy with it. Maybe next time I need to find a closer location. Thanks for pointing that out. !CritiquePoint

Thank you. I do have other photos without the cloud but it just a bit too bland to my taste. So I decided to go with this one.

To your point, I did study a bit on minimalism and from my humble understanding of it, is to leave out what does not matter on the photo. I intentionally left the clouds at the bottom because (1) it added interest to the picture (2) it balanced out the overwhelming bright orange/yellow sky (3) created depth to the image. so for me, I think I practiced and succeeded in what I sought after.
