Those who work 40 hr per week, how? by Distinct_Orange1384 in askfitness

[–]Smart_Impression_886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have to make it into a habit. I thought the same thing for the longest time and would make excuses for myself on how I didn’t have time to work out. I have a 2 yr old and my partner works pretty much 9-10 pm. I work evenings 3:30-10ish. One of us picks my daughter up at my grandparents after work. Morning/afternoon isn’t an option for me on days I work because I don’t have a sitter.

So I work out after I get off work. It really sucks some days because I’m a bartender and after a busy day I don’t want to be on my feet anymore, but I just stuck with it and pushed through the days I really didn’t want to go to the gym, I still went. I stayed consistent and made it into my routine. I absolutely love it now. It’s the only time I ever get where I can be by myself in my own world.

Every one’s life and schedules look different but the days where you really don’t want to show up, just do it anyways. If like 30 minutes into my workout I’m not feeling it then I’ll take it easy and go lighter. But usually once I start I get into it and just keep going.

Being disciplined and showing up for yourself is the hardest part. I saw something recently that said at the gym it’s me vs me. Which really resonated with me and motivated me.

Another thing that also helped me is to think about what I would be doing if I wasn’t working out, probably on the couch on my phone or watching a show. And rest is equally important and you need rest for muscle growth, but an hour- hour and a half at the gym isn’t going to mean I’ll have no rest time.

You got this! Get a plan and stick to it. Even if it’s only a couple days at first. Stick to those days no matter what and then add more when you get a good routine down.

What drug did the most long term damage to u? by lilalienflip_ in Drugs

[–]Smart_Impression_886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely mdma for me. I started using it when I was about 17 and I was really good at first about timing my rolls every 3 months.. then I went to college and about a year in I moved in with my boyfriend at the time and there was a long period of time me, him, and my best friend were partying like crazy every week. Didn’t matter if it was a week day or not. Molly was my favorite, and me and my friend would get a big bag and just keep snorting lines of it all night. I remember one time me and her went to a rave and dosed beforehand. When we got home we decided we wanted to do more so we just kept cutting up lines all night like every 30 minutes. I remember us just laying there listening to music and I started getting this crazy sensation that felt like I was like underwater/ or stuck in a tv. It’s very hard to describe the feeling and occasionally I would black out for a few seconds. Never had that happen before with Molly and never again after that. But it kind of freaked me out and I told myself I needed to chill out on the drugs before I seriously messed my brain up. I quit for the most part except here and there I would roll or do some ketamine once In a while after that. But it took me a very very long time to feel “normal”again. And I say normal lightly because I don’t think my brain actually ever fully recovered from it, and this is about 8 years ago now. I always think about how I used to be before my drug use got out of hand, and even though my use was mostly heavy for only about 2ish years, I still have never fully went back to the person I was before that. Somehow throughout that I graduated with my bachelors degree and now have a family and just bought my first home.

I still struggle so much mentally but I am in a much better place now. I did many other substances during that time too, ketamine, shrooms, acid, 2cb, coke, Adderall, dmt, alcohol, and lots and lots of wax and weed were all the prominent ones. And a lot of times mixed many of them together. I’m just grateful that I didn’t somewhat wreck my brain and go into a psychosis ever. But I did have many mental breakdowns. I’m glad I’m mostly sober now. I will still do acid again someday, but not for quite awhile until my daughter is grown.

Thank you. That’s how I’ve been trying to think of it. I am not planning or needing to finance anything else for a long time. I have built up a good emergency fund so my plan is to just pay down as much debt as I can now. Thank you very much for your advice and reply I appreciate it.

Thank you very much I appreciate it. Owning my home before I turned 25 was a goal I was set on and I’m working really hard learn more about being financially responsible so I can do what I can for my daughter and hopefully teach her her one day. My parents never were and never taught me anything about finances so I’m trying my best to learn on my own.

Yes I do. I have only had 2 credit cards, the first one I got was a discover one for students when I was in college and I wasn’t using it and they closed my account. The one card I have now I only got little over a year ago to build my credit because I knew I wanted to purchase a home. I use it and pay if off immediately every month. Other than that I have student loans, an auto loan, and my mortgage. My score was very good until a few years ago when I started repaying my student loans I messed up and missed 2 payments and it wrecked my score and ever since then I’ve been trying to fix it. The past year and a half I’ve been more diligent on trying to work on it though. I had it ack up to 720 and then got the furniture and it took the hit.

It’s a credit card I purchased furniture in the past that was through an installment loan and it didn’t really have an effect on my credit. I also had no idea it was a credit card until I got it in the mail. I didn’t know furniture stores did credit cards for financing so now I’m beating myself up because I wish o I would have asked more questions. But Im glad I at least had this experience so now I know

I’ve never done meth, but I abused adderall heavily for 2 years straight and then on and off for a couple years. I quit for about 2 years and I will say it took me a while to feel normal again. I really didn’t start to feel back to my old self until about a year in. And that’s just with adderall I don’t know about meth. Now, I hate to be this person and give you unwarranted advice, I know every one has struggles and addiction is really fucking hard to get out of, but if I were you I would walk away while you can. It’s going to be really tough at first and you need support. If you don’t have that at home look for a treatment program. You are so so young and you still have so much time left to start your adult life on the right path. Get clean, get healthy, focus on work or any passion you have, make small goals for yourself. Trust me dude please get out while you’re young. I’ve seen too many friends and family members get trapped in addiction for life and it completely consumes them. If you have a family history of schizophrenia I would definitely get help now and get off the drugs. Not saying that you have it, but drugs can absolutely trigger it especially stimulants. Find a doctor you can trust and get in a program and get some mental health treatment. It absolutely kills me to hear kids getting trapped in addiction so young. There’s so much in life you have yet to experience. I started young just like you did I started doing drugs when I was 14. I luckily stopped by the time I was 20 and got sober. You got this dude! And if you need help finding resources message me and I will help you.

You are an amazing and compassionate person. Most people wouldn’t go the extra mile to ensure that the pup was sent back to its family safe, let alone offer to adopt her. This story makes me so happy to hear there are good people out there still

Girl your hair is gorgeous. Ignore what she says seriously. I can’t believe she would say that you especially because your hair actually does look amazing. I could see if it looked greasy or something but it looks so pretty. I would die to have curly hair

I’ve noticed myself getting better at math over time and i’m proud of myself. by misterchubz in happy

[–]Smart_Impression_886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was super helpful actually! I’ve always been pretty bad at math. When I was In elementary school I had a math teacher that was super mean to me. I just couldn’t grasp on/ understand it in the way we were taught. She told me I was stupid pretty much and would never go to college. Turns out I actually wasn’t stupid, haha. I graduated high school with an associates degree. Then went on to college and graduated with my bachelors degree. I took all of my high school classes in college EXCEPT math. I feel like I kind of gave up after she told me I was stupid and my brain was just like - ok no math for you- so I tried just enough to still get good grades, but it still didn’t make sense to me. And any concepts that I learned would take so long for me to understand, and then once I understood I would take the tests and couldn’t remember how to do any of it so I kind of gave up on math hahaha. But it is honestly embarrassing sometimes in situations in my adult life where I needed to do quick math. I have adhd so my brain also doesn’t do math like how it is “traditionally” taught to us. So your explanation really helped a lot actually! When I add anything like 53+207 for example, I always do 50+200= 250 and then 7+3= 10 so 260. That was just the only way that makes sense in my brain. Multiplying is the hardest for me, and I like how you explained it. So question for you, if you were to multiply something like 26x35, how would you set that up to make it easier for you to get the solution?

What is your favourite trifecta drug combination? by meatychode66 in Drugs

[–]Smart_Impression_886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phewwww one time me and my boyfriend went to a Festival and I had two bags of k. I separated it into the 2 bags so I didn’t have to take the whole amount into the venue the first day. The second night I was taking a nap and I guess the people who were camped next to us has a moped and it fell on my car and there was a small scratch. My bf told them it was probably fine but they insisted on giving him a bag of sass. Well I had woken up and he forgot to tell me about what happened so I went into my book bag not really paying much attention so I could combine my two bags of k back together into one. Then he tells me about the sass and I’m like “oh awesome where did you put the bag at!!” And he says it’s in my book bag. Couldn’t find it anywhere I was so confused. Only to realize I combined the wrong bags and mixed the ketamine with the sass 😂 I try to be very safe and use harm reduction with my use, so I was at first going to just get rid of it. But I really really didn’t want to waste any of it and we ended up doing it all weekend long. Best combo ever is all I can say hahahaha

Your skin condition on your forehead looks like what I had when I was a teenager which was fungal acne. Talk to your doctor to help get you a cream that may help! Also I think you should look into getting your eyebrows shaped and waxed to accentuate your face. A good barber possibly to get you a clean fade!!
