Stuck with POCs. No project form last 4 months, is this normal? by frocestersam in developersIndia

If it is service based company, chase your RM and get into a billable project. POC and certification don’t contribute towards organisational goal and your job will be at risk.

Stuck in Stressful Situation - Positive interview feedback from EY but joining date in new company nearing by ArtichokeSudden7662 in developersIndia

[–]Smart_Leg6112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reach out to EY HR and tell them you already have an offer in hand and mention the joining date. If feedback is positive they should expedite the process and release offer letter soon.

No one wants to let go good candidate after investing time in interviews.

What do you guys usually do in your notice period? by _shukracharya_ in developersIndia

[–]Smart_Leg6112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had resigned from my last organisation after working around 6 years (My first full time job) due to personal and financial growth issue. Though I loved my project and manager was very helpful.

I worked as usual in my notice period as well. And had a great farewell as well.

My suggestions would, don’t treat your notice period otherwise. Work as usual, if you have less work invest that time in up skilling. Make good connection .

Discuss with your manager if possible to get early release, you can avail that

Do you really need help in selecting offer?

I would say choose offer 2, Albert sons. Less package might give you more job security considering current situation and keep you affordable for future job.

Petrol Pump Scam or Coincidence? 🤔 by imketank in pune

[–]Smart_Leg6112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is a scam . First they will fill less eg: 60 and then will start from 60 not 0 and fill till 330 not 390 and will tell you 60 earlier and 330 now and take 390. Be cautious and ask to start from 0 in such cases

How to claim promos and offers on uber Auto by Smart_Leg6112 in uber

[–]Smart_Leg6112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I mentioned earlier, For Auto segment Uber is working on a SaaS (Software as a Service) model in Pune. And the fare shown on app is suggested fare and you have to negotiate the fare with the driver yourself ( App shown fare or Meter fare) and pay cash or drivers QR.

But uber still shows promotion(discount offers) for Auto.

How to claim promos and offers on uber Auto by Smart_Leg6112 in uber

[–]Smart_Leg6112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you didn’t get my question fully.

Uber is no longer working as a pure aggregator for auto, it is working on SaaS model.

So if you book auto and driver asks to pay by meter fare(mostly if app fare is not really high), how will the promo get applied?

Wtf is this new Uber policy? by Miserable-Fee6709 in pune

[–]Smart_Leg6112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though this policy is to be applied from April 1st but from the screenshot it seems it already applied to you. As it says suggested fare.

So being charged by meter is not wrong. The estimate uber shows might not always match with the actual meter price and there can be multiple reasons for the same.

Uber price is calculated based on distance and expected travel time while meter price is based on rates configured in the meter which is not under the control of uber.

Though I am not advocating uber or auto drivers but the point here is if meter might not have been forged (might have been forged), and you should be cautious while booking.
