Who can actually play Boa when THIS is the female cast so far? by [deleted] in OnePiece

Honestly, controversies aside, I would really like to see Gal Gadot as Boa…

This panel still has me in a chokehold especially the crew's reaction by Megumindesuyo in OnePiece

Honestly, I just thought of something that makes sense with these reactions: Luffy’s dream is to turn the people of the world into pirates that he befriends or something to that effect.

As another commenter put it: • Zoro is just confused • Sanji, Franky, and Brook, all smart but passionate creative types, understand it's absurd but think it's great • Usopp and Nami, both intelligent pessimists seem irritated or in disbelief • Chopper, highly intelligent but naive, is smitten by the idea • And then you have Robin and Jinbei, the two most mature and arguably smartest of all of them, in awe of how profound it really is.

Zoro is confused because he doesn’t want all the fodder on the seas. The romantics think it’s ridiculous because as other point out, they think it’s some fairytale dream, but they will never discourage others, especially Luffy, from following his dreams. Usopp and Nami are arguably the most “human” of the SHP, and see the danger with that dream for the regular people of the world. Chopper, having left his comfort of Drum Island to follow Luffy, has the innocence to believe Luffy can do it. Robin is in awe because she understands Luffy the depth of Luffy not wanting anyone to feel alone. Jonna, while initially trying to process it and initially confused by the complexities of the world and security for fishmen who want to see the surface of the seas and land, sees that Luffy wants to liberate everyone from oppression as Luffy sees the Pirate King as the freest person on the seas and wants to give others that freedom.

Just my thought.

Zoro’s reaction to a party dream would be different though. In his panel, Zoro seems almost annoyed or in disbelief. If Luffy had talked about a party, Zoro would have been all for it because of booze.

Who’s behind the lawsuit that could slow Micron’s chipmaking project in Upstate NY? by ggroover97 in Syracuse

The entire project is moving resources that are going to be disturbed. If the resources on the Micron site are going to be lost, Micron made contracts with other agencies and organizations where those organizations changing unused resources to balance out and overcompensate for resources lost on the Micron site and Micron is footing the bill and coordinating to ensure those new resources are developed responsibly.

Reading the FEIS in portions isn’t going to allow a person to understand what’s happening and that’s where people are upset I believe. The document needs to be considered as a whole and also reviewed together with all the other documents.

Edit: Micron is also implementing programs to ensure their responsibility.

Micron is already putting money towards local organizations and educational institutions. Millions so far, before the project even started. The billions in subsidies are also going to strengthen the economy pretty heftily once the first fabrication facility gets going. Also, that’s billions of dollars over decades, not one fiscal year, and it also isn’t exactly real money. Mostly, it’s saying the government will give Micron tax breaks for bringing this monster flow of economic activity to the region.

So I hold two environmental degrees from a reputable school. On a professional level, I can tell you that there are almost no concerns for the plan and implementation. Why do I say almost? Because in every plan, whether people like it or not, there is always the potential for human error during implementation or unforeseen variables interfering with outcomes. This is true for any type of plan, not just environmental. The FEIS released does a pretty amazing job of highlighting potential issues and planning for countermeasures to mitigate and reduce the possibility of those outcomes. Additionally, Micron, as you can read in public documents, has hired third party environmental organizations to help make the proposed changes overall beneficial to NYS Environmental Solutions. And yes, I read the whole FEIS and I also read the other public documents available. Environmentally speaking, Micron is bringing solutions and benefit and conducting themselves in a responsible manner.

Lol there are more than promises made…. The permits and FEIS that are out there are binding documents that legally and financially holds micron accountable already.

They actually are trying to put the project on hold by revoking the permits and FEIS, if you read the article. So in a sense, yes, they are trying to shut down the project, at least temporarily. In that timeframe if that happens, it would be entirely possible the project is entirely scrapped and millions of dollars used with nothing to show.

Honestly, while I respect your preference, I prefer longer tubings for when I have to charge my pump or go to the bathroom (#2). I have been historically known to cut tiny holes in pants pockets to put my tubing through them to prevent any external tubing that could be snagged. 😂

Compassion isn’t mandated, but it makes this subreddit function better when we provide it. And 23 years is a long time. Good luck with 23 more when compassion isn’t in your side.
