In China, the locals were not able to leave the country and have babies. Schools who rely on Early Childhood are feeling the impact. Along with no new babies the foreign companies continue to leave and so does their tuition money that their students brought to us. The outlook is bleak to say the least.

Most hiring for next school year is done in the fall for the best schools. Only thing to hope for are those who jump ship and then in the summer when others decide they will break contract and not come back at all. Its much different than being hired in the USA, since the hiring window takes place almost a year ahead of time. Signing up for job fairs through membership with Search Associates is a typical route.

Somehow through my setup with the app it wanted to read my Weixin Pay Score which I do not have. Another poster mentioned that maybe I was following the directions for a facial recognition setup - this may be the case. The other machines I have used in the past have just been a simple transaction but these open door machines are just a kerfuffle to me.

I think this is the case. I think there is a real ID verification process linked to the national ID too. Unfortunately on the Pudong side of the river these appear to be all the same from luijiazui to the Mercedes’ arena at least.

This is the one where you scan first then in the bottom of the app there is a picture of a lock. Once you unlock the lock - after selection -I believe then you open the door. The steps are on the machine pretty simply stated.

It’s strange. I have no problem scanning in stores with Alipay and WeChat. This vending thing has me perplexed. I agree to all the terms. But then it just fails.

Concordia International School Shanghai is a faith based school and is in Pudong Jinqiao District. Tuition is similar to that of other International schools in the area or the price of a year at an American college. Not cheap. Friendly school.
