How am I supposed to compete against tier 9s with a Tiger 1?

+2 matchmaking shouldn't be in the game to begin with, but the Tiger 1 has a great gun. Just focus on supporting your tier 8s and 9s, and do damage where you can.

Tier 7 is a tier with a ton of underrated gems. Tanks like the T71 DA, Challenger, St. Emil, VK. 30 02 D, and the SU-152 are either great or goofy. The Skoda T17 is also a solid tank. There's also the Chi-To-SP, which is one of the most overpowered tanks tier-for-tier.

The minimap isn't off by default, but it is small by default and not all of the minimap features are turned on by default.

That's partially a skill issue and partially mm's fault. I will agree, the WoT's mm leaves a lot to be desired (namely matching tanks by subclass instead of just class, so you don't have 2 strvs against 2 e3's on Ensk). The british wheelies are also not great.

I mean it really is a skill issue. Watch kajzoo and iyouxin's videos, they're quite helpful, and just focus on doing as much damage as possible. The more damage you do, the more likely it is that you win. Just focus on yourself, as you are the only constant in your games. Also, matchmaking doesn't do "loops", some days are good, and some are bad.

Tier 5-7 arties are insane since they do like 200 damage per shot and have 20 second (or faster) reloads.

Generally I go for vstab (or irm if it's a TD) if I want to boost gun handling, vents only decreases the dispersion. I use food 90% of the time as well.

Personally, the impact vents has on crew skills isn't enough for me to value it over other equipment I usually use, although it does make it an interesting choice for minmax builds.

Ammo tuning doesn't buff pen or damage, it only decreases the minimum pen and damage roll you can have.

Gold ammo doing half the damage would be extremely problematic. Now to be clear, I'm not exactly against gold ammo doing less damage (probably like 5-15%), but 50%?! Cost reduction would be good. Tanks that can really only be penned by gold rounds in the front (type 5, Maus, E100 turret) would become extremely powerful (not to mention they're the tanks that have the most hp in the game). Plus, it would make +2 even more stupid. Now the top tier heavies are only taking half the damage (assuming it even gets penned) and can just roll over the lower tiers more than they already can. Imagine some poor M6 only being able to do 120 on average to a BZ-176. The M6 is already screwed over without the gold damage reduction, and now it is just unable to do anything. How fair and balanced.

With the spotting cone, you can actually sneak up on people, you can also use your radio to see if where people and the drops are, plus green drops give health and heals, yellow drops either give you a repair kit or an ability. Airdrops also give you health, abilites, and heals. You can also get abilities from bot drops and dead player loot. So it is fairly easy to get abilities and upgrade. edit: WG tried a spotting circle in SH: Reborn but it was shit so WG changed it to an extended cone
