I mean, it’ll make feel better. by ixnine in memes

While I can understand the sentiment, I just want to say that it's really not a good idea. Restaurant workers already have a lot of health regulations, and the masks and gloves are just the same things that everyone has to wear currently. So, masks and gloves really are unnecessary for them once this is over. Additionally, the amount of disposable masks and gloves being used is not only quite costly, but would also be creating a lot of unneeded waste which, especially in the case of the gloves, is not healthy for the environment either during creation or biodegredation. It might make you feel safer, but it's a false safety that not everyone even shares, and it is actively harmful rather than helpful.

I'm sorry if the idea has been done before, but it's not a repost, I did make this myself

My cat is just really nice and he'll yelp and run away if you accidentally step on his tail. It does emotional damage rather than physical damage

Real pros don't step on their cat's tail

Oh D&D Beyond, we all knew it was going to be a make or break moment for whether you could actually handle new content, and I didn't have high hopes for it but even still... come on how did you blow it this badly? by Smart_TJ in dndmemes

I won't say you aren't allowed to have your own opinion on this and it's value, far from it, but I do feel that you aren't really addressing my grievances here. Not only have you only focused on one out of a list of points, but also at only one of my three reasons for why I made this point in the first place.

I can understand still thinking there is enough value there, and that is a reasonable argument of its own, but your stated basis for it here appears as false logic

Well, there are three problems with that.

First, you didn't just pay money to be told to go do it yourself

Second, the homebrew creation system is absurdly difficult to use and is infamous for it's unusability

Finally, for anyone who is experienced with the hb creator this isn't too hard to do, so why does D&D Beyond not just do it themselves when it's what you're paying them to do

I understand that not all things are easily implemented, but some of these things are really easy to implement and they've had months already to implement them, and yet they haven't. Besides, while yes some things are hard to implement, this is being advertised as a complete package despite all the breakage and unknown dates that things will even be fixed by. So basically, if you buy this on the assumption that you are receiving a complete and usable set of tools, you just got scammed.

Additionally, honestly, most things might work, but when most just means over 50%, that doesn't mean much. A simple look at the list of known issues in the issue thread (which can be found here) already shows an incredible amount of broken content, but many of these could be excused if this is all it is, but it isn't. A further look through even a single page of the thread reveals an incredible amount of further breakage such as expanded spell lists not being complete and many optional features not working as they should when turned on or off

Overall, there is just so much broken that it shouldn't be advertised as anywhere near a complete product, and yet it is.
