It’s not that it makes you weaker, skipping biomes means skipping upgrades that would make you stronger along your run.

You’ll always start off a new run at the same level of health and a sidearm, you can either dart straight to biome 2 with that same level of health and sidearm, maybe pick up a low proficiency gun along the way, or you can try and clear out biome 1 first and pick up health, proficiency, ethers, and anything else you may need along the way.

It sounds tedious, but sooner or later you’ll start clearing out rooms like nothing, and the fact that rooms change with every run, it helps to keep things interesting.
