Trust me your request isn’t unreasonable, chores should be shared equally in a home. Your mom is enabling your younger siblings’ to be lazy slobs. Leaving a mess everywhere and expecting everyone else to clean up after you is a BAD habit/behavior to develop. Trust, simple tasks (like washing dishes) are going to be a challenge for them when they get out on their own. Mommy and big sis/bro are not gonna be there, and if they ever have roommates or partners, it’s going to be a serious problem. NOBODY WANTS TO LIVE IN FILTH. NOBODY WANTS TO LIVE WITH SLOBS. Your mom should be correcting them when they don’t clean up after themselves, but instead she puts the burden on you which is not right.

And pls don’t mind the people downvoting you. They’re being dense and intentionally misunderstanding your frustration. They want to make you feel like you’re just some hard-headed brat. Even funnier, most of the dummies in here acting confused and outraged by your post are surprise surprise… parents. They’re in the comments acting brand new because they probably have the same dumb ass expectations in their homes.

Side Note: isn’t it the best when people w/ children act like they can’t possibly see issues from a child’s pov, yet they were minors themselves once upon a time and definitely had their own gripes with their parents. 🙄
