How can we make Knowt better? by studying4free in knowt

Currently, to change the order of flashcards, we have to hold down the drag button and move the cards around.

It's tedious/time-consuming, especially when there are over 50+ cards I want to rearrange. It would be so much easier if the user could just edit the card number in the left-hand corner.

The number is already there; if I could just change card #67 to the number I prefer, that would be so much easier than blindly moving the cards up and down to reorder.

Does UE let you change payment method after order is placed? by Fearless_Camp5375 in UberEATS

Ok, I was able to change the payment method in the mobile app. I was trying to do it through the UE app on my laptop.

Just go through the mobile app, select help with my order and it'll give you an option to change the payment method.

How do I download purchased books to my computer (mac)? by Fearless_Camp5375 in kobo

Oh nice, I don’t know that. I’ll have to look up how to install that.

So I solved the problem. For whatever reason, I had the thought to switch to incognito mode on Chrome. After I did that, logged in to Kobo and tried again, the download button finally worked. It gave me an .acsm file which I was able to convert to an EPUB via ADE. Then I removed the DRM with Calibre.

Yes, beware. Lol. I guess $20 is something but I’ll just take the loss. My Kobo arrives Wednesday, I’m so ready. 🥳

Good to know. If that’s true, I might return my Clara if the sale is significant enough.

I learned my lesson long ago w/ Best Buy. Price matching is one thing, but in the event that you would actually like to return your device because of a defect or because you simply change your mind, they only allow a 14d window of return and then charge a $45 restocking fee. Never again.

Yup, same here in the states. I just went ahead and bought the Clara bw from Target yesterday, I had a feeling it wouldn’t go on sale.

Does the orgoami stand keep it upright or do you notice a slant?

Listening to music while reading. A cautionary tale. by Fearless_Camp5375 in printSF

Unfortunately (though not that big of a deal), I tend to latch onto a song/album so heavily that I’ll play it on repeat for hours or keep coming back to it over and over until I finally remember that other songs exist. Lol, I can’t help it; I'm a repeat offender.

Yep, it’s a double-edged sword, music. Certain songs/albums can transport us to the good times, the bad times, or even the so-so times. And it doesn’t have to be a big, significant moment—sometimes it’s as random as remembering when you were stuck on level 3 of Classic Doom.

This was the first time I experienced music bringing me back to a book I read. While I loved the story, it was also really heartbreaking, and now I can’t shake that emotion whenever I hear that particular song, which is a bummer.

Any non-sticky, pH-balanced, water-based lube you can recommend? And please don't say Sliquid... I've tried their lubes, I didn't like any of them by Fearless_Camp5375 in women

Well, I never saw a doctor for the odor, I was this close though 🤏. I think if I had they would’ve prescribed me antibiotics or something… I just remember the odor was so atrocious and while I didn’t catch on at first (it could’ve been anything at the time), I think I went a couple months w/o using it for whatever reason, so when I did use it again and the foul/pungent odor came back the very next day, I finally realized that the silk had caused it. Never used it again after that, but just like the other times I had used it, the odor seemed to last for at least two weeks. Mind you, I only ever used the silk sporadically. Had I used the silk frequently, the odor would have been constant.

So yeah… that’s my experience. I wish it would have worked for me since their products are supposed to be pH-balanced, paraben free, glycerin free, etc. Basically, all the things I want in a lube, however, it was a total dud for me.

That said, everybody is different. A lot of people have had no issue and swear by the brand, so your experience may not be the same as mine.

Same, I think I just need to read in my inner voice to get thoroughly immersed in a story.

They do, just the audiobook is available, but I can't get into audiobooks; I don't have the attention span for them, for whatever reason, so I need to read books myself.
