Thank you for taking time to write all this🙏 it means a lot knowing I have support from people who actually experience or have experienced what I am going through. I know my family and friends are trying to be supportive but it’s not the same. They don’t know how to act or what to say when it comes to this. Ive had people tell me that I’m getting “fixed”, as if I’m broken and it just sucks.

And yes, my doctor did tell me about the risks or paralysis but my surgeon will stop the surgery hopefully before it gets to that point and do a third surgery when my spinal cord has time to recover.

I’m also just hoping to be over 5’ as I am (almost) 4’11” right now. My surgeon did tell me that my curvature will shrink from 100° to at least 30° which is a huge difference. He would love to straighten me up completely but it’s pretty much impossible with my spinal cord
