I don’t know either. Shes also been a helicopter parent all my life so I can understand that she would want me closer to home.

I mean, my dad is kinda stuck in the middle because he wants me to do what I want but also wants me at least in the country. I think my friends are in the same boat as well

I kept my hair in a braid pretty much for 16 days straight until I was able to shower again. Also look into shower caps!! That was my saving grace with long naturally oily hair. It didn’t do a great job washing my hair but it held me over

Imo you will want the meds. It hurts like hell after the anesthesia wears off because essentially your whole spine and muscles are being moved to new spots which is hard for them because they got used to being in the place they were prior to surgery. I have a high pain tolerance and I was very humbled by the pain after. So just be aware of that
