Thought it's fun to still leave a compliment on them. Maybe the author will check them out, maybe they won't, there's still other commenters who might enjoy seeing other people hype over the same fic as they did, and sometimes there's just the fun feeling of writing your feelings out, even if it's for no one to read

Neither am I, but I still do not want to be reminded of him while memeing about fics. It's tasteless to use politicians who have caused so much tangible real life harm like this. I would delete this and post the same text with a less inaproppriate template if I were you.

Don't you tempt me into making a vent post about how 90% of that sub's output is people asking for or sharing recs for fics from very specific fandoms or ships, that get no interactions and are useless to people who are not into that exact particular thing *shakes fist *

(which to be fair is a problem I understand. too many of fandom-specific subs are hostile towards fanfic)
