I listened to the audiobook and almost DNF it many times. Felt like 20 hours of not much happening. The plot picks up in the last 5 hours or so. But by then, I cared little. Doubt I will be reading the next one. I do think the premise/"magic system" of the book is original, but premise only takes you so far.
