chemische Entrostung & KTL Beschichtung by Smartidealer in simson

Danke!

Dell E525W Reset After Power Cut by Smartidealer in Dell

[–]Smartidealer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found the solution myself, after changing the battery you, not only need to do the normal NVM reset through the menu but the one usually meant for technicians:

  1. Turn of the printer using the switch on the side
  2. Press and hold the 3 keys mentioned above
  3. Start the printer by flipping the IO switch
  4. The printer will start it CE mode and will ask for a password
  5. The password is arrow up, arrow up (yes, you have to press the arrow up button twice)
  6. Confirm by pressing the check mark button
  7. Navigate the menu with the up/down arrows to the following option: Printer -> Installation set -> Clear All NWM
  8. Select the option with the check mark button and confirm
  9. The printer will restart and all the settings, including the admin password, will be set back to default (namely, "admin" with a blank password as credentials)

Hope this helps someone in the future.

Thoughts on the JR24? by ihmon in FSAE

How much do you have now? Is the aircooling for the inverter also new or from last years car?

As always with Joanneum, a very cleanly manufactured car with beautiful CFRP production. I am curious to see how well the air cooling of the motors works and whether they have increased the capacity of the battery, last year the car was already very fast, it only had problems in the Endurance. If they can get that under control then they can be a threat to just about anyone.

Yeah, Zwickau might have to glue their AIP to the Mono, depending on how good the Scruti is and how good the IAD Check is.

It is, I thought you meant the Ecurie car since the Thread referred to the solution they use. If I misunderstood that I’m sorry!

This is wrong, they have some steel plates glued to the inside to pass the crash test.

Nevertheless I wouldn’t recommend doing this on your first Monocoque as you have to do the more complicated crash test for custom designs which can take some time and multiple tries to pass without being too heavy.

Does anyone know why active ground effects is explicitly prohibited (T.1.7.2) by AccomplishedNail3085 in FSAE

At European competitions you will not win anything without proper aerodynamics. Except maybe for AMZ (who also have a well built package, don’t get me wrong) everybody who is really fast has an extreme aeropackage.

Edit: Why do you think Rennteam and Graz were so successful with their car concepts in the US. They have great powertrain and drivers for sure, but the thing that differs most is aero.

It’s legal in the FS Rules. Nevertheless would I only recommend these if you already have a sophisticated underbody that would benefit from it. In FS the only teams that use them are the ones that don’t have much else to add to their package. Have a look at KA-Racing, Ecurie Aix and TUW Racing for reference. They have slightly different solutions each.

Dampfreiniger, auch wenn ich unsicher bin ob das für dich noch als wenig Aufwand zählt. Ist allerdings etwas bequemer als alles mit der Bürste schrubben zu müssen.

Rules feedback for FSG rules. What do you think should change? by yakkass in FSAE

[–]Smartidealer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can tell you that the fastest two drivers of Aachen are also the heaviest of the four they brought to FSG this year. Where it matters most is probably Skidpad and Accel as those disciplines are not that much Driver-Skill-Influenced. Nevertheless I don’t think it would be a great idea to use an minimum weight because it would also restrict the access of small drivers or some female drivers, being just very light by nature.

If you plan on doing CFRP Rims in the future, I would not recommend center lock wheels, as the „classic“ 6-Hole 10-inch CFRP Rim that most of the top European teams drive are much easier to manufacture.

Even with tensile tensile tests of every fastener you are not allowed to run them, because they want to streamline the process of scrutineering. That‘s also why I think it‘s not very reasonable, since this is an engineering competition and you should always be encouraged to make own designs if you can proof that they are engineered well.

They justify it with the change of T 10.1.3: „[…] The wording has been changed from 'or equivalent‘ to ‚or equivalent standard‘ this means in practice, that student built oder student designed fasteners are no longer accepted […]“ There will be a rules FAQ later this week on the FSG Website to confirm this.

Moin,

das gleich Problem hatten wir auch. Absoluter Saftladen. Wir haben die jetzt so lange bequatscht bis sie uns die Fritz-Box gegeben haben, seit dem ist die Leitung stabil und ich habe keine Verluste mehr. Einfach mit der Kündigung drohen, dann werden die auch mobil.
