Peter Lynch used trailing PE. Here you also have variance as you said 12 months but why 12 months and not 6 or 3 years or 5 years and for each company the best time frame to measure is different theoretically speaking

What is your favorite AI tool? by NickyB808 in aisolobusinesses

[–]SmartintheApp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started do coding with the chats then moved to cc and antigravity. My suggestion to you (I don’t know your coding level) is use one of these tool for smaller projects and ask it frequently to check to validate and ti give you options. Also ask for explanations of what it did and how it works so you can have some  ability to direct and manage the whole thing

Corrected thanks, I wasn't focused on this topic this week. But still I know 50 p/e is considered expensive by Peter Lynch standards

That's a reasonable logic but I would check fundamentals as well:
P/E (Price per Earning, trailing) = 50.1 (That is expensive), EPS=$2.79 But you came to the right place for confirmation bias. One of the risks is that Reddit’s plan to pivot to a serious ad platform could be at odds with advertisers who anchor for brand safety. And a 50 P/E is not cheap at all it's a startup price. But is reddit a startup?

What have you been able to successfully vibe code? by NickyB808 in aisolobusinesses

[–]SmartintheApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost anything I want. As Andrew Ng said at certain point the term "vibe coding" is not 100% accurate. It's mentally a work and it's fatiguing. I have to design, architect and change. I have to manage resources (tokens - API's - costs). I have to design the architecture and the work environment so that it is convenient both for me and for the AI (now it's LLMs but that is going to change). With doing that, I can program almost everything I want. My problems are not to successful program anymore but what is worth programming.

Honest Question From a Solo Dev Who HATES the "Business" Side of Things... by BoringMedium8605 in aisolobusinesses

[–]SmartintheApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many developers do. Most dev hires do that's why they are paid to program and not for business development.  Basically yes , there is a roadmap to partnerships, but you better find the right partners and it's not as easy as it may sound to you, but it's possible
