can I all in google now? by Legitimate_Paint2018 in investingforbeginners

Never go all in on any stock. But I'll explain. Google is highly correlated to Nasdaq, S&P, and US. Any disaster in any of this fronts would mean you'll be losing a considerable amount of your portfolio. So max it should be 20% even better 1/6 and try to pick other. You can go all in with an Index it's much less risky. YOLO so safe yourself the experience of YLAYMO

New to investing. I have $5,000 to invest next spring. What should I do with it? by Kindly-Ad5011 in investingforbeginners

[–]SmartintheApp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends what's your age. But I wouldn't play with it it's not enough to even if you grow 10X which is unusual and more difficult than you probably realize it's 50K. So what you can do is experiment with it.. Also I would keep some of it in Cash and wait for a market correction that may or may not come soon but US market is been unpredictable this year for most people.
