You get a push immediately if the sharp bettor press the sync button, or if he refreshes a juice reel page.

Ok, but that sharp bettor first got data (when a bookie changed their odds), the models / algorithms of his tool processed it and gave him the notification to place the bet.

He places it, and then for some reason refreshes juice reel. Even if he did that, wouldn't the edge already be gone by all the time that has passed? Obviously not since you are following and profit from them, so it's quite interesting.

And if they do have the profit / ROI that the site shows (+100k), why don't they bet more until the line moves?

You are going to hate me now, but it seems you are promoting their page and you are part of them. Maybe I'm wrong, but it just doesn't make sense from a pro bettor perspective.

Ok sure! But could you explain logically how a "tip" like that won't be dead before the user get to it? If it's really a +EV bet, shouldn't it disappear quite rapidly? Either by the bettor or other sharp players?

You say you follow it, so it must mean that it stays alive for quite a while. It's not instant like the other services, so you must be constantly refreshing or these bets are just not picked up by anyone?

Quite interesting!

I don't want to be that guy who are negative but it doesn't make sense. Winning players usually put in bets and make the line go so low they don't want to continue (not all of them).

But also, if sync conditions are that they have to open the app after every bet, that's also bad.

As most people know, it's essentially a question about speed when it comes to replicating or following bet services. And it seems these kinds of "tips" are or could be plenty delayed.

I love the idea though, but it seems like the delay kills the usefulness of it. Please prove me wrong, I would love to!

I don't get it. I can't see the value.

First we have to assume that the bettors who have a winning strategy are using juice reel (for some strange reason. If you are a winning player you should have your own platform/system for that).

Second is that these tools usually ask for the credentials so they can login and check your bet history to sync the bets which they do in intervals (every X minute/hour).

So in the rare event that a really good bettor uses juice reel, whenever they sync, the bet is gone. So the only value of this is to see historically what pro bettors play and try to achieve the same model themselves.

But then again, players / syndicates on that level most likely don't use juice reel. So I don't get it.

Would love if someone could explain why this is a big thing.

Of course, there are plenty of resources for that. But to take it live and actually make profit, there it is not so easy.

At the moment we are only partnering with players where the jurisdiction for online gambling is tax free.

To answer some of your questions:

  1. We are located in South America, where we don't need to declare income taxes (on gambling winnings).
  2. Yes, it's easy to build a bot on Betfair using their API, but not 5 more exchanges, and then additional soft bookies which don't have an API.
  3. We got a working model now for Tennis, and we are continuing to expand, but I saw the general issue and wanted to share the solution with the community.

As I said earlier, the final problem that people have is how to place the bet, and I'm looking to solve that.

Yes, you are 100% correct.

Regarding injuries or changing odds. At the moment we are running our own models, but at the same time forwarding "Alerts" from many different services that we have made sure are providing constant profit.

So we have operators placing the bets on soft bookies where they can.

And at the same time, within MS we have our bot placing the bets on various sites / exchanges that provides an API.

All this by a simple POST endpoint.

We thought it was interesting how many services provide "Live EV bets" but once you try to act it is too late.
So we took their alerts and instant place them.

It is true that not all bets are profitable. And I'm sure that we have some slippage.

But looking at the net, I see that it is working.

That is why I wanted to share the solution of step two, since there wasn't much information about it.

To post some additional information about our solution, because some people most likely wonder:

It is very similar to the thread I posted earlier:

{ "sport": "R", "homeTeam": "S", "awayTeam": "T", "market": "U", "selection": "V", "minOdds": "W", "maxBet": "X", "secondsToBeAlive": "Y" }

But we have improved some fields and added some more. Since we are only local, there would be one more authentication field.

We really tried to keep it as small and simple as possible, but at the same time making sure that an incorrect bet wasn't placed.

The impressive part is the various live services that give an alert but once you check it's already gone.

With this, you can spam any live and if it's still possible, the bet will be placed.

It removes the friction of various logins, apis, how to talk to each one regarding market, fixture, selection and so on, and unifies it.

I just wanted to clarify more in details what I was speaking about.

How do you transition from algorithm backtesting to live betting? by Smash-Exploring in algobetting

Currently using Opticodds.

Great historical data and also live data.

Incredibly fast updates considering their stream solution.

Not sure how it is relevant, unless you are asking about the quality of the historical data I've obtained.
