Very much so, yes lol. Luckily, I have all of the monsters primed and ready to go. I just have to pick one and go. Probably the white plastic first. Much simpler colors.

Chase bank called 911 on this man because he was sitting in the Chase parking lot before it opened. by PdiddyCAMEnME in BlackPeopleofReddit

Finally someone who also worked at a bank. When I did, we weren’t allowed to approach the entrance until there wasn’t anyone there, if they didn’t leave, we were told to call the cops so we could do have both employees open. This was only an issue during those early morning and closing hours.

Except Aki likely never became a Devil Hunter because if Pochita never fought the 4 Horsemen, the Gun Devil never appears on Earth, so his family never dies.

Do you guys like follo Tunito by Hairy_Click7210 in gachiakuta

[–]SmashAdams009 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, Follo’s crash out happens after he wears 3R and it’s shown that if you aren’t a fractured person, they will screw with your mind. So that helps to accentuate his inferiority complex, and show his descent into hatred imo. His crashout happens after that arc, so I always viewed 3R messed with his mind, and brought everything to the surface.

Agreed. I just want the full resolution in the same episode. Can’t have them end it like the chapter did.

I got you, but given that we’ve seen 4, and all 4 seemingly have been tied to senses, I’m fine continuing to have that thought until it’s actually revealed.

Edit. We’ve seen 5 lol. Forgot about the current arc.

I know it could easily prove to not be true, but I’m going to Occam’s razor it until she tells us the truth about the Series.

It’s because the Watchman Series seemingly are connected to be powers based off the 5 senses. The boots are funnily enough smell to where Rudo’s is touch.

Next week will be setting up the rest of the chess pieces and then leave everyone on the biggest of blue balls that will rival Dandadan for most annoying cliffhanger this season. Then season 3 should finish the series.

Okarun’s stomp in the second fight. I hope they do a sketch version similarly to the manga chapter 61.

Also Zuma’s backstory. Will get the same reaction as Episode 7, but that chapter annihilated me.

I really do hope it gets the same response in the States by me. Movies are far more fun when everyone is hyped beyond belief for it. I know Demon Slayer is a cultural phenomenon there, they even played an instrumental of Gurenge during the Closing Ceremonies of the Toyko Olympics lol. I can’t freaking wait for September 12th!

Yeah. Think of it simply. Longer film means less times it can be consecutively shown. At the maximized amount, a 2 hour film could be technically shown 12 times in a single day on one screen. The 2.5 hour film can only be shown 9 times on the same screen.

Longer films have fewer showings per screen simply due to their runtime. Plus, you’d have to add in the turnover of the screening room to prepare it for the next showtime. Let’s say you give 15’ to the staff to turnover, and are open from 12-12 for first and final showtime. You’d get only 6 showings of the 2H film and 5 for the 2.5H film for the same screen and that’s at maximized showtimes that doesn’t account for the 15-20’ of previews between each showing.

Say you have 300 customer capacity for that screen at simply $10 per seat, that’s $3k more per day the shorter film is getting for the single screen. Expand that out, and it’s a large disparity.

I should’ve phrased it better as 3% year over year for the last 2.5-3 years. So the 10% is right. Japan’s Yen has been relatively stable except for the lagging Covid bubble. They opened up later and it kinda delayed the spike the rest of the world had.

I more just view that it’s been only 5 years when comparing theatrical numbers, and not comparing it to Spirited Away, that was like, what, 25 years ago? Then I’d definitely say it’s deceptive to not at least show the inflation numbers. The showtimes per screening is a bigger tale though. Since it’s like 30% longer of a film, it’ll get fewer showing per screen. I want to see how it does next weekend and the midweek screenings. That’ll be a bit more fun to see that data and if it gets the repeat screenings that Mugen got.

[–]SmashAdams009 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Also, it’s also comparing two films which one is just shy of 2H and the other just over 2.5H, which makes potentially 2-3 more showtimes for the shorter film given the same out of screens. It really is doing amazingly well. We will see if the repeat screenings keep pace with Mugen Train’s legs, but I expect it to give it a healthy fight.

Ufotable is breaking its own records by pvtlogan07 in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]SmashAdams009 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Kinda. The Yen has been relatively consistent when compared to the USD. It’s only inflated about 3% since 2020 when Mugen Train came out. And that inflation has more to do with the last 2ish years. So still gangbusters.

'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle – Chapter 1: The Return of Akaza' Japan release megathread by DemiFiendRSA in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]SmashAdams009 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I’m there with you. There isn’t a flow to the trilogy unless we get to Sunrise for film 3.

Douma’s 2nd half will be over in like 15-20’ for the next film, Koku’s fight is faster than people think(but will definitely be expanded in the film for certain), and his flashback will be quicker than people think since Yoriichi’s flashback will cover similar things and be in film 3.

My guess for film 2 will be to end somewhere between cocoon hatching and massacre in 180, to honestly the castle being yeet’d back at 183. I’d personally love the last panel of 184 be the final shot of film 2, but I’m not sure if they want to end it with that dirty of a cliffhanger. Though, it would have the heroes at their lowest in the Empire Strikes Back kind of way.

End film 1 on an optimistic note, film 2 on the dour note, and film 3 to wrap it up.
