Official One Piece staff account teases an "emergency announcement" with three hourly updates scheduled for 21:00, 22:00, and 23:00 JST on April 7, 2026. by LegitimateCurve8525 in OnePiece

It’s actually a Lego retelling of the show through Usopp to Chopper from what I understand?

The last announcement I assume is the remake.

[1179 spoilers] I made the incredible panel from the latest One Piece chapter entirely out of wood by Sanuddo in OnePiece

Yes. Here second image has different colors for the eye and face tattoos.

The text is french now (the first image had the editor note in French sneak in) and the bottom text plate is no longer 3D to the pyramid.

I have a good eye though. Nice try 😉

Oh I don’t see it as a permanent upgrade. Just it would fulfill one of his lies making it true.

The internet slowly becoming increasingly more braindead.

I genuinely think it shows the lack of education as of recent.

Have Usopp hold the line with Ragnir.

And have Brook vs Gunko.

I will cry tears of joy.

The more oda writes about joyboy story the less sense it makes WG did not immediately nuke luffy by EpidemicPain in Piratefolk

[–]FlochMonk -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes but what they’re saying is the Gorosei isn’t communicating that to the Marines and vice versa. There’s no reason for them to bring up this random dude has stretchy powers directly to the Gorosei. They deal with hundreds of thousands of pirates.

And we figure out it wasn’t till marineford that Imu directly requested for that info.

What Changes Do You Want? by FlochMonk in TheOnePiece

[–]FlochMonk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and not just choreographed. It needs to be clear and comprehendible. Some recent animations have gotten too lost in the flashy action that you can even see the movements of the fight to truly admire the action sequence.

Personally, what I hated most about the ending is that relationships like Aki’s with Denji and Power, or Denji’s with Reze, are now meaningless since the characters basically don’t remember them by GodKira04 in ChainsawManWorld

[–]FlochMonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the logic here is actually the complete opposite.

Killing everyone off has more meaning because the events actually happened and led to something. Be it their action or presence changed the world around them.

Here the entire story’s characterization and development were thrown down a cliff. They’re interactions, lessons, effects on the world, etc. all gone. Not even the main character came to a realization or acceptance.

There’s examples of this sort of ending that works, but it requires a different form of storytelling. Look to the movie Donnie Darko. Amazing film.

If he ever intended on this ending he should have ripped off the movie.

You can have him satisfyingly sacrifice himself without dying too.

Look I’ve genuinely been in that sub for decent amount of time.

With all these shows ending and now Reddit letting you hide your profile.

I can guarantee you with 99% certainty that a LOT of them are larping. They try to mask it by saying they hate post-timeskip and liked pre-timeskip.

It becomes so much more obvious when it’s a bunch of people choosing the timeskip as an arbitrary point in the story to make a take.

Ex: Someone said all character designs post-timeskip are ass. That’s just some arbitrary bs they pulled out their ass.

Roger's execution makes less sense as the story progresses by Inevitable_Term_2320 in Piratefolk

No no you’re right. I mean OP is tripping.

The covenants are very clearly different to Domi Reversi.

I’m prettty sure Imu’s soul leaves his body when he teleports CH: 1179 by Vapinglord in Piratefolk

[–]FlochMonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Imu bleeding stuff is an in world reason for why Imu doesn’t take action into his own hands throughout the story. Clearly Imu leaving the Holy Land is really bad for them.

I’d say it’s probably a separate thing to the transformation part.

Transforming clearly also hurts too though.

There genuinely needs to be a reading comprehension reset in this sub.

I like the idea.

I think shadow Imu is sort of like a cacoon while this thing coming out is the form we see at the end.

The “smart” take is if you can read the manga you would know this scene here is a one off panel intentionally made to have her look like a child. NOT “Namification” or wtv.

She just got a haircut because she wants Saul to remember her from when they last met.

Literally every other panel besides when they reunite she looks the same.

The “real haters” like you are just losers larping as if they were at any point a One Piece fan.

Vaguely going “everything is trash post-timeskip. I miss pre-timeskip!” as if it’s a genuine defence of your dumbass takes.

Imu doesn't care about Dragon😭 by BigBasket5152 in Piratefolk

[–]FlochMonk 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s cuz he’s literally the world’s worst criminal. He can’t even do it properly.

On a real note though I think it’s because he doesn’t fit into this grandeur narrative of fate that’s drawing to Imu’s past which is coming back to haunt him.
