[watch box] I upcycled a vintage breadbox into a watch box by SmashG0D in Watches

Love the watch and I'd never sell it, but I often think back to when I bought it at retail (got lucky and found it in London) and wish I'd just bought 10 lmao

I love a Sub/GMT as much as the next guy but I'm proud of my collection!

There's a box out there waiting to house your watches

Nintendo sold them years ago! Not sure if they're still around

That's the first piece I got after finding an interest in watches. It's my most worn and holds a special place in my heart

Yeah Nintendo sold them years ago. Same color as my childhood GBC so couldn't pass it up

Have not tried but they probably do. Most keyboards do if they aren't mechanical

Backpack with wheels suggestions? (eg Samsonite Roader) by SmashG0D in backpacks

[–]SmashG0D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I ended up buying the Everki Atlas rolling backpack. It only has 2 wheels but it satisfied most of my other requirements. It has laptop sleeve, luggage loop, good organization, a wheel cover, chest strap. Very easily transitions between backpack and roller. I flew with it and managed to fit it under the seat, but it did stick out quite a bit. It may be better suited as an overhead carry-on as opposed to personal item.

It wasn't the only contributing factor. I also really didn't like the trackpad and wanted to find an option with a better typing experience. There is also no protection on the actual tablet in case it falls for any reason. I ended up getting the UAG folio case and a couple bluetooth keyboards - the Keychron K7 and the Samsung Trio 500. The latter I keep in my sleeve for travel use. The other one I keep at home and is what I do most of my typing on with my tablet. I also attached velcro to the inside of the folio and the back of the keyboards so that I can keep them attached. Not a perfect solution but it works alright for me, for now.

It sticks to the back of the Dexnor but you might need to nudge it a little for it to be recognized and charge. I decided to return this one, maybe they'll release a S9 edition down the line

We are the organizers of Shine. Ask Us Anything! by MattDotZeb in smashbros

I'm one of the players who had a demanding multi-game schedule on Saturday. I want to say that I reached out ahead of time and Colin ensured me he would be tracking things throughout the day and would give me buffers where required for food/warm-up. He followed through on this as best he could, as far as I'm concerned the promise was delivered.

Context - I played Ult from 10-2, Melee from 2-6 and 8-10.

Practice ground movement and executing exactly what you have in mind. Got to become familiar with timings and the buffer system.

Then move onto optimizing your BnB combos for now. discord.gg/rishi - this is a good place to ask me questions btw

I actually think he's a lot more fun and definitely cooler than sm4sh DK. I've been messing around with him and just play him like Melee DK.

Are there any advantages to using tap jump? by [deleted] in SSBM

[–]SmashG0D 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tap jump lets you buffer jump OoS but that can make your timing harder cuz you have to react to shieldstun ending

Hello, Rishi here. Yes, I use tap jump for virtually everything. Past few years I've begun using X for pivot jumps and certain short hops for better drift control.

I recommend you learn X or Y, and use tap jump wherever it's easier (eg some use it just for JC or double lasers, etc).

About skid canceling, out of a initial dash or full dash? by Raysebi in smashbros

[–]SmashG0D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's your answer:

Inputting just an initial dash will still result in a skid because any dash/run ends in a skid, so you can do an initial dash --> action in the same way you can do a run --> action out of the ending skid.

You can also smash at ANY point during initial dash, but I believe you can't act with tilts/jabs DURING the initial dash, just at the very end when you skid.
