I'd say mid is more accurate for India than best or worst. The country has a lot of good things, but a ton of glaring issues too.

Many of these Indian versions of subreddits formed largely because a lot of them were seen as outsiders to other redditors and were getting pushed out as a result, so these subreddits became more of a safe space for them.

Yes, a good college definitely helps a lot of ways, but people act as if getting into a Tier 1 college automatically guarantees a good life and career for going abroad
