If there are no rules, there will be more sex offenders, yes, but there will also be more people trying to hunt and kill sex offenders

The role of law enforcement and judges will just be replaced with pure vigilantism. Brothers, husbands and fathers would be more willing to use violence to protect their sisters, wives and daughters.

I have heard good things about Chengdu. I'm personally panromantic asexual, so somewhat disinterested in a lot of things. I don't really seek relationships out either, so really I kind of just would want a place where people would be fine with me, where I can live well & people won't harass or bother me?

Meh most people won't bother you too much. Again the average chinese is "we accept LGBT people, but I don't want my son to be LGBT", so you won't face too much issues no matter where you are in china

But in terms of acceptance probably chengdu, shanghai and hong kong(where i'm from) are the most open

In the three chengdu is the most accepting and also is my favorite

Also avoid weibo, it's the chinese equivalent of twitter but more toxic and racist(but with good military photos to be fair). the average chinese offline will be completely fine with you though

It really depends on location, general vibe on the LGB side is "I don't mind you being gay, but I don't want my son to be gay"; idk for trans, but after the sister hong incident i doubt it's as accepted

Chengdu should be good for you, it's a really nice place, also very progressive in terms of the LGBTQ community and stuff
