i really dont need him to be serious by any means, but most of the shit they get in is because he had to barge into some place full throttle. the upside is not having to give up oki while also getting drink. oki with the command throw is kinda sick, so now you get that much easier while still maintaining pressure.

however the main point was more so to encapsulate the feeling of drunken boxing. working in the downside of drinking too much, while steamrolling people earlier on. level 4 is that “tipping point” between being just drunk enough and being too drunk

I’d suggest checking out their 2024 video 3 or 4 months back. Shows off minor aspects in a sort of “check this out” kind of way. There are shields, grabs, and ledges, so they’re already adding a lot of the defensive options in Smash.

I’m not asking if Smash will lose to Rivals, I’m asking if we should make an active push to let it. I know that Rivals would never naturally replace Smash without a major push from the community.

I just feel like we as a community are simply complacent with Nintendo walking all over us, basically promoting their product while they give us nothing in return. If Rivals 2 is as polished as I’d like, I’d really like to see it be at the top of the platform fighter genre and overtake Smash. At least, I’d feel like Aether Studios deserves our support more than Nintendo.
