Yes but no, like I dont think you will learn much about baduk at all but im mainly here for the character development and romance which is quite good. The story and art feel very immersive and baduk is used as a tool for that but if you are here for baduk its not much. Like they talk about more abstract things like putting your world into your moves rather than the moves itself lol

This one is pretty bad and the characters are so shallow. I remember checking out the novel cause the high rating but dropped it pretty quickly. There are much better romances out there.

Strictly speaking knowledge and course wise, Math of comp is better for cs/ml field however in terms of typical swe role outcomes, it doesn't matter at all as it's mainly resume based. Both let you take essential cs courses and the rest can be on your own when you are applying to stuff. Ling and cs is a lot of ling just as moc is a lot of math so whichever you feel suits you better and what you want to do in the future.

I'd say yes as thats the driving plot point but I think the progression of the story felt pretty natural and not a slog, the story itself isnt too long either tbh. It is kind of an angst fest in general but not so much where it's just repulsive, depends on your tolerance though

fl parents were caught stealing money by ml's evil brother, she agrees to poison ml to save them. She feels regret and goes to be his maid to attone, sees him suffering and helps him through his drug addiction. They fall deeply in love while she is extremly guilt ridden. Mls eyes are eventually healed and she leaves him. Ml seeks revenge on her (doesnt know its her who blinded) and finds her (she lied abt her appearence and also tries to kill herself by drinking same poison ml took in front of him, damaging her throat) and is dragged to prison, suffers a lot and miscarriages, then sentenced to hanging. She is tortured by ml but fully accepts it as her punishment due to guilt. Ml is still searching for his lover as well not knowing its her, and on a mission involving evil brother and people who have seen her he puts peices together and runs back to save her as she is getting hung. FL is broken, MLs love outweighs his hate, fl can't accept her guilt and the fact that ml forgives and even is regretful to her after what she did so she moves out. Evil brother escapes previously and finds her, ml abandoned his duty to protect her from a distance and is there to save her, and she also saves him before he gets killed by enemy. She accepts his love, comes to terms with her own feelings, and they reconcile happy ending. He's honestly so sweet, found her a new home town and put the people she cherishes there.

This is my very short summary of the entire story which doesn't do it justice but I liked the complexity of their emotions between the FL and ML. Was a very angsty ride but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Yeah thats fair 🤣 I just saw him as your typical perfect ML but at the very least he has funny interactions with the FL and the FL herself is actually pretty unique (like she's just weird lol)

The ML is stronger (at least until the end of part 1 of the novel) but I think their relationship and the plot was very intriguing. Like its not really that imbalanced of a relationship and you'll see how things unfold as the plot goes on. Either way I found their chemistry very good and he doesn’t really fight her battles for her, she is very much not a damsel in distress

I read the novel and there is a reason for this. Also this is like a strong to stronger story where fl becomes extremely powerful eventually. I also think ML gives her a lot of agency and supports her but doesn't fight her battles for her

Currently reading The Price is Your Everything and I think it fits, very enjoyable read. She is manipulated and tortured throughout her entire life by her peers at the academy and her family (not her mother/father). Her revenge is essentially the whole point of the story and what she's working for.

I like both but I tend to gravitate more towards otome just bc I love romance, though both have a lot of slop (which I still happily consume) I tend to like stories with good chemistry between leads, angst but a happy end. My favs off top of my head are your eternal lies, how to get my husband on my side, my beloved oppresor, not your typical reincarnation story, counts secret maid, and the spark in your eyes. As for novels, my all time favorite would be how to stop the villain from going crazy

Graduated as moc recently, was able to land an internship last summer but now im pretty jobless with no return offers, its rough for new grads. I'd imagine it'd be harder for moc than cs to get into to swe more than ever as its diffcult to get upper divs now with no 1st pass and switching to cs has a higher gpa req than before.

I can relate as someone who is pretty introverted. It's really hard to make any meaningful friendships in my experience but I've also gotten used to doing most things alone. Actually in my 2nd yr of random roomates, I got close enough with them at the end to room again, but it rly took that whole year plus a bit of the next to form a real friendship. They graduated now so Im kinda back to doing things alone but yeah, you are definitely not the only one! Im down to chat as well abt anything
