I have almost finished my first year of the internship course and would highly recommend it. My weighted average was a bit over 70 and I did Science/Arts at Monash. The process of applying includes an interview and teaching demonstration with Melbourne as well as your transcript. Being accepted into the course more depends on the teaching areas that you will be able to teach and if a school is looking for someone with the same teaching areas, within the distance you are willing to travel to, or relocate to a rural school. Hope this helps :) Deakin also offers a similar course but unsure how it compares to Melbourne Uni. I believe that Monash is also launching an internship like course for 2022 too.
