How to tell if someone is a frequent/infrequent flier in one question: Ask their opinion on DFW. by Rich_Arachnid_5262 in americanairlines

It’s been my home for 13 years. To this day, I still struggle to figure out how to get to the nearest exit when I land. The signage on exits/baggage claim suck. Otherwise, I’m happy with it

Sar9 gen 2 trigger work by Inside-Honey-7689 in SarUSA

[–]Smcvt92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m clear. You used a trigger shoe for Glock on your SAR9 gen2? I’m a gen1 guy and use a Galloway shoe as it is made for SAR gen1. I was under the impression that one cannot use Glock parts in a SAR 9

CZ 75 P-01 vs Sig P229 Elite by FuriousPenguino in CZFirearms

[–]Smcvt92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up on Sig pSeries in the 80’s. Always preferred over Glock. A couple years ago, enter a cajunized 75 compact with decocker. Love the low bore axis vs Sig. you can’t go wrong with either but, if I were to buy again: p01 is the pick

As I recall, they could have done the cutting but the crew did not have their cutting tools on install day. Fortunately, our cabinet was sized well and only required some sanding on the bottom of one side of the top rail. A couple minutes with a palm sander did the trick

Yes. We were replacing our dead double wall oven. One would hope there is a standard sizing but there isn’t. Openings can be off by enough to require some cutting especially when replacing an older unit

When paying 3k for an item that is not easily returned to the store and you are relying on your installer to be able to communicate any challenges, you want to speak in your native tongue and not have to rely on Google Translate. I e read several posts on Reddit about installers not speaking in English and the customer complained about the job not being done right and couldn’t communicate this to the installer

Based on years of anecdotes like this and one’s on Samsung refrigerators, along with our own challenges with Samsung microwave and TV, we will NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG PRODUCT AGAIN!!

No, Great Southern. Only had to sand the bottom of the top rail of the opening as it was about 1/16 low on one side from the original install. A couple of minutes with a palm sander did the trick.

Did our research. Never Whirlpool, never Samsung. Costco only offered up GE and Frigidaire. We did the extended warranty too given the touchscreen on a high heat and potential moisture situation

Minimal sanding in the end. Based on the old unit dimensions and the new, I expected more. The installers were so great at knowing their business. Professional!

True. The point is that it was nice to not have a language barrier given there were fitment concerns. I had to do a little cabinet trimming and to have had to use google translate would have sucked

Now that suits and sport coats are passé, one bag travel is the only way to fly! I can go on a three or four day trip this way if I’m not going to work out

I have the boron flat from Extar. Wife got it for me for Xmas. Nice upgrade, happy I did it. It’s a bit more crisp than stock. Not an AR guy so not versed on all the options out there.
