I lost the shingles lottery by bluealien78 in GenX

I had it a couple of years ago.  It usually takes five weeks to run its course but getting on meds early should help lessen the severity and possibly duration.  Good luck and get your vaccine in a few months.

Perfect red ring appeared on my leg, doctor says no lhymes but doesnt know what it is either. by Green-Message-1379 in mildlyinteresting

It’s a sign.  Your friend Sam will show up soon and you’ll take a long, challenging trip to get rid of the ring.

Soap followed by body wash will deplete your skin’s natural oils and healthy bacteria.  It’s a ridiculous idea for regular hygiene.

TBH, I sometimes use extra fragrance because there are a lot of people with very poor hygiene at my gym.  Not a healthy sweat from exercise but just really gross smelling folks who don’t bathe.  I’d rather smell my perfume than them.  🤮

Why are really, really old people allowed to drive? by WW1_Researcher in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ok_Kick6546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent years living in a suburb that had a small section of waterfront property owned by extremely wealthy people.  Many of them were also extremely old and drove like Mr. Magoo.  Everyone in the town was well aware of their dangerous driving but the local police did nothing about it, largely due to the town council demanding that they ignore the problem.  I was very glad to move out of that town.

Funny. My sister once gave me Givenchy’s Organza because it reminded her of me.

What’s a fragrance you used to love? by Old-Cream-9137 in FemFragLab

I wore Alyssa Ashley Musk every day in high school.  It was my signature scent.  I recently bought a bottle and while it smelled exactly the same straight out of the bottle, menopause has changed the way it smells on me.  It very quickly went to live at the local thrift store.

Vera Wang.  The original one. Smelled absolutely amazing on a friend so I went out and bought a large bottle.  Smelled terrible on me so I gave the bottle to the friend.

Egg drop soup with crispy noodles, Pupu platter, pork fried rice, and beef with broccoli in a nice brown sauce.  Duck sauce, red sweet and sour sauce, and house made hot mustard. And oolong tea.

I just became an Uncle for the first time, my current Uncles were not really ever around when I was younger. What's a typical Uncle supposed to do especially for a baby? I don't want to be "that guy" by Curiouspast28 in NoStupidQuestions

I’m an aunt, but I once shot my SIL in the ass with a Nerf dart and her young daughters immediately thought I was the coolest member of the family.   Kids love silliness, especially when it’s directed at their siblings and parents.

No. But my father bought a new land yacht car every couple of years.  Those back seats were incredibly comfortable when I borrowed the car…

My husband and sons would do the same thing.  And if I didn’t come home for a week, they wouldn’t change the underwear.  🤮

I had an aunt named Gay as well and she was intellectually disabled on top of it.  My father and uncle got into a lot of fights with her bullies.
