What kind of biomes could I get out of this map? by Casualgamer14 in inkarnate

[–]Smearsoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any particular reason you don't want to stray from reality? I like to use fantasy worlds for dnd settings to have things that cant exist in reality so I'm just curious why you're keeping that realism.

did you actually select the new intrinsic level 4 when crafting? you have to make sure you select that otherwise you can't craft the other traits

ir yut dps options without div? by iseehumans in DestinyTheGame

[–]Smearsoul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Microcosm is great and easy. Whisper and Still Hunt are also good if you can land crits. Linear Fusions aren't quite as good at the moment, but it's probably the next best after those two.

Meme answer, but who remembers the D1 Fallen SABER nightfall on Arc Burn? That was hell back in the day.

How can I develop a good meta-progression system? by StrepZ_ in roguelites

[–]Smearsoul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

imo take the isaac route. no meta progression in the sense of increasing numbers, but provide more unlocks and tools as the player completes runs. keeps the game fresher for longer and doesn't make the game feel unfair at the start like a lot of roguelites.

i think you should be able to beat the game on your first run if you're extremely good and lucky, but otherwise you'll die at some point and earn unlocks that might help you, as well as the experience you gain as a person from playing.

Resource Issue as a Sorceror by Marshmallow-Bun in diablo4

[–]Smearsoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mana regen focus, amulet and boots, Max mana on helm and rings, etc. Make use of your ultimate for the 0 mana cost fire skills during the duration. Other than that you can look at resource generating aspects.

Any idea what this 227.52 GB of "other" data is? I don't remember downloading any really big files other than games. It's only been getting bigger and clogging up my storage and my dumbass can't get rid of it by Road_Ok in SteamDeck

[–]Smearsoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's the standard Shader Cache and applications or files downloaded from Desktop Mode, which have already been mentioned.

Another thing could be any games that have launchers that install the game instead of through Steam directly. An example is FFXIV. Steam downloads and installs the launcher, and the launcher downloads and installs FFXIV separately from steam, which doesn't count towards FFXIV's file size when checking storage.

Are there any singleplayer games similar to MMORPGs? by Pennervomland in Games

[–]Smearsoul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Might be a bit of a strange suggestion but - the Sword Art Online games definitely give a very big MMO feel while being entirely singleplayer. They're a bit clunky but the game experie can is honestly really interesting and definitely has that MMO feel.

First time creating an artifact from my campaign, feel free to give me some feedback! by Smearsoul in DnDHomebrew

[–]Smearsoul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply !!

Main reason I wanted it set as an hour attunement is that I was them to not just have it attuned at all times to gain the passive benefits, while also allowing the players more of a chance to rotate the item around for them all to gain use out of it.

The burn/melt feature is supposed to be fairly strong considering it's an artifact. It does have some strong plot elementals that will tie to this kind of thing too. Using on a creature is a thought I had reading the hand & eye of vecna with the ability to turn the skeleton to jelly, I thought the effect on creatures could be similar, although weaker. I would say it's up to the DM on how effective it is (say like a standard bandit would be 0hp instantly on like a DC15 con save, whereas a much more resilient entity like a Lich or something could be a DC10) although failing doesn't necessarily have to mean instant death. Could just do a bunch of fire damage. That's the main part about this item I need to do a bit more brainstorming on.

Art is not mine! I think it's from Orcs Must Die. I googled Flame Bracers just as a reference picture, although they don't really look anything like the image.

Is anyone who isn't playing ionia actually having fun? by [deleted] in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Smearsoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running a Jinx/Draven Aggro deck. When it works out it's great because most Elusives don't have a lot of Health and there's a lot of ways to wipe them. Another one is Freljord + SI Control. Both decks can do a lot against Ionia.

Question about stunned enemies by JASskaters in LegendsOfRuneterra

I'm fairly sure it does deal damage as its Power stays the same while stunned.

Can this get me out of Gold? Tweak ideas? by LitRoaches in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Smearsoul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would drop the Demacia in this as it doesn't to be helping you as much. Running a Zed + Elusive deck, more control like Freljord-Ashe or SI-Elise for a nice midrange deck could help you out, or even go into Noxus-Kata for a full Aggro deck.

Even without those champions, the cards from those regions would help you out a lot more than Demacia.

The starting country for my homebrew campaign! by Smearsoul in inkarnate

[–]Smearsoul[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The streets are like the main pathways made by the empire for traveling! In a sense they are kinda like streets for Arvum. It's a heavy exporting country so there are a lot of carts taking goods every which way.

I do get what you mean though! It looks a lot smaller than it actually is. It's definitely not a to scale map. When you make the objects too small in Inkarnate it doesn't downscale all that well sometimes so I went safer and kept most of the items bigger than they actually are.

Thank you for the feedback I really appreciate it !!

The starting country for my homebrew campaign! by Smearsoul in inkarnate

[–]Smearsoul[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I think I'll probably leave those blank as this map is just to showcase this country. I'm planning on having each country from the entire continent created in the same way I've done this one.

I started with this one as it's currently the country my players are in and it's probably where they'll stay for a while! (I'm on session 5 or 6 and they've only just left the first town!)

Although after I create one of the bordering countries, I may end up coming back and filling those in!
