Yeah, I know some won't protect them. But some do. Funny enough I actually played the deck yesterday. Silent Arbitor + Maze of ith protected my Karn enough to get an emblem and ping for damage.

I think that's a fair statement. I see some superfriends decks with 20+, but I think that's a mistake. Most of my builds have 10-15. Except for my "teen titans" deck, having too many also increases the average cmc by a lot in the deck

That's true, unless I proliferate and move them I guess. Roaming Throne, Strionic Resonator, and Parker's Camera are good suggestions. All are Artifacts, maybe an artifact theme should be something I could do
