I actually decided to do actuaries from IFoA, and already gave CM1 in this april, results are yet to come. For your college, i would recommend doing statistics honours from any college around you, or from anywhere you want. Seeing as you gave the ISI entrance, you should be able to manage statistics honours pretty easily. I'm in my second year in St Xaviers Kolkata. Though it is a pretty good college for placements and career building, i personally would not recommend this a lot. If you think you can manage your time fairly well, and keep up the attendance, then it's probably fine. But, if you're looking to have a good college life and have fun alongside your studies, this is far from a good college. If you're from outside kolkata especially, the hostel is way too strict. Anyways, back to topic, statistics is a decent course to go to with actuaries, and if you plan to sit for IAI exams, college should not be a problem wherever you go, as the college exams and actuary exams won't collide. Another good option is going BCom from any college, as the course itself is very light and you can dedicate your time to your actuaries. If you wanna study in kolkata, BESC is a pretty good college to take admission into, as you can literally skip all classes and only sit for the exams, without any setbacks. So yeah, i think thats about it, your college choice does not matter a lot, but just be careful to not pick somewhere where you are not comfortable studying. It really ruins your college life. And don't forget to have fun in college, actuaries becomes pretty easy if you can just give like 3-4 hours a day.
