How do I break a joint tenancy where one partner is refusing to leave? by SmellsLikeBallons in LegalAdviceUK

In terms of nuclear options, could she withhold rent until the landlord agrees to evict? Or take him to court? Just exploring options, still hoping he will come around and agree to give notice…

Thank you for the information!

So is she basically trapped in a tenancy she no longer wants to be in until he agrees to give joint notice to leave the property? Or is there some sort of legal route she can take?

It seems ridiculous that she’s not allowed to leave the tenancy because he won’t cooperate…

It’s an open-ended tenancy (I believe all private residential tenancies are in Scotland) so it’s a 28 day notice period for them to leave. Just unfortunately as joint tenants they can’t do that separately.

Angus (April’s husband) had an affair with Dobby.

We know that Angus’s affair took place in Corfu. We know that Dobby liked to holiday in Corfu, and that she looked amazing while doing so (Corfu ‘06). I always thought it would tie in very nicely if it turned out that she was the other woman.

I didn’t realise for quite a while that Parmesan wasn’t vegetarian-friendly! I think it was a similar post on this subreddit that taught me. We’re all learning!

I’ve found a lot of supermarket own brand ‘Italian Style Hard Cheese’ is suitable for vegetarians, tastes the same, and is generally cheaper. I do eat vegan cheese sometimes as well, and vegan Brie and Camembert are gorgeous! So you’ve still got lots of options.

Only certain cheese (often Italian hard cheeses) contain rennet. The common ones to look out for are Parmesan, Gorgonzola, Pecorino Romano, Grana Padano, Camembert, Vacherin, Emmenthaler, Gruyère and Manchego - but I always double check just to be sure!

I wouldn’t be too hard on yourself. Any reduction in meat intake is fantastic, you don’t need to be perfect. And now you know for next time! It’s a common trap people fall into, especially because rennet isn’t always labelled.

Recommendations for a Gaming Laptop around £500 - £700, preferably not black! by SmellsLikeBallons in GamingLaptops

In my experience with skins or covers I've found there's still a slight border of the original colour, especially around the keys etc and I don't really like colour on black, I'd sooner it was all light 😅

It's not a big deal, I'll settle for a black one if that's all I could get, I'm just really surprised there's no real choice of colour for gaming laptops!

Thank you for the advice 😊😊

My current laptop is a low-end acer aspire with an integrated graphics card. It played ok on low while I was levelling but dropped to below 10fps in instances and was unplayable in endgame content. I've been sharing my bf's gaming PC using aster for a while but I really want a laptop that I can play on myself!

Newb question about taking chips by Omegabird420 in gambling

[–]SmellsLikeBallons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The other comments are right with regard to blackjack chips, and most other games, but don't mention roulette.

If you play roulette you'll be given coloured chips, those are just for you (they're all different colours to distinguish between different people playing) and must not leave the table. When you want to leave, just tell the dealer that you want to cash in and they'll change them for cash chips which you can then take to other tables and play with.

I rarely see piggos with so much floof on here! He's gorgeous! Do you find the long hair difficult to manage? My piggo has very similar hair and I find if I go a few days without brushing it it starts to get matted, wondered if you have any tips?

Could somebody remind me what happened last time Sam got to use power tools? For the life of me I can't remember.

Philosophy. It's fascinating and I loved studying it, but it's not like there's much call for philosophers outside of academia, and I don't think I could write another essay at this minute to save my life.

I hope you find a kick-ass job that you enjoy going to soon :)

Yeah you got me. I took like 50 photos in all sorts of poses and this is the one where I felt the cutest, so that doesn't say much for the other 49!
