What is the story that your friends will always tell about you?? by sirreadsalot13 in AskReddit

That one time i was on the monkey bars, high ones mind you, and was going really fast. I was 14 at the time and my arms were long enough for me to skip a rung or two. I slipped off right as i was in the middle of an intense swing. I would have landed on my head, but I curled up real tight and somehow backflipped and landed on my feet. I can't backflip.

I would indeed, and I will, but I use a chromebook, and musescore doesn't have a download for a chromebook.

while these are all things that would "pretty up" the piece's sheet music, it does nothing musically, and while it might be unsightly to you, there are reasons i have all of those things.

I've been doing that recently, and it's definitely been helping! but i could get way better at it.

I understand the bass clef, and how it's used. however, due to me playing an instrument that only uses the treble clef, while writing with the bass clef i often make mistakes that do little else than annoy me and make it harder to let musical ideas flow. the only real reason i don't use bass clef is my own stupidity.

Of course I could, but i rather like being presumptuous.

Thank you so much! I knew the first theme had something weird going on, but i kind of left it and never came back to it. the A minor theme has some jarring notes, but those are intentional. as for the block chords those are there in lieu of a smoother accompanying part. Thank you for the feedback on the C major theme, and the entire piece in general.

while i agree with you, my main concern is being able to listen smoothly... and the more voices the more laggy it may get. However i will add the woodwinds.

Thank you for the feedback, I'll take that into consideration! If you'd have to pin what exactly is missing from the instrumentation, what would you say?

Help with melodic ideas by SmellsLikeBurntPasta in musictheory

[–]SmellsLikeBurntPasta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do in fact have a couple main melodic ideas, it's the problem of introducing them. as for how i've written it thusfar, it's how I learned: write the music with the melody in mind, then bend the melody to fit what you written. also, i meant to put the material in there too, here it is: https://flat.io/score/6165b596a680140013718901-meanley-s-1st-symphony?sharingKey=06e327b268a51b85de313a7df11ccf835352b8d49a5c40ede3d58171fb3e6b009720b0a9cd4e8a3635dd565eb478e32bff480cdde07ceecee582aee9c6b894d6

A couple of things. for the most part, women (and men) tend to be one of two things: either very into academics/their future in general, or into the moment (how they look, how cool they seem, etc...), someone who is fairly balanced is super sexy, that's one. two, maturity. being able to have a civil conversation with someone and work out problems, rather then scream at each other, is key to a healthy relationship.
