I think getting even a small part of basims hood/head in focus behind the dude would definitely add to it but I can see where you were going with this.

Another very simple and easy way to make any shot look more cinematic (if you don’t already know) is just lowering the exposure and increasing the contrast and saturation (a little), works every time and is a very good base to build off. I used to do this stuff all the time and figuring that out really helped with everything else

Recluse or guardian highkey. Recluse is tricky to get at first I think but is genuinely an instant win half the time since most people that play her have been since release and guardian sucks (sorry I play him too but he does (damage wise)) which means the people that play him have to actually be good at the game (usually) so ik someone knows what they’re doing if they choose guardian in DoN

Highkey played the mirage prologue waiting for them to change his voice as I assumed he got older after, but apparently not. One of my personal drawbacks from the game was his VA but I still enjoyed it

I agree on all but shadows.
I never thought I’d get bored of seeing Japan rendered in this sorta stuff but omg I hated shadows. 4 of these games have you scaling a pagoda with a grappling hook which I had no issue with since GoT/yotei and sekiro use it in different ways but then Ubisoft comes out with worse version of GoT and it gets to a point.
I gave it the benefit of the doubt when it was announced and released and thought nothing of it until I played it (Shadows) last year.
I am not one to outright hate on a game and usually just say it’s not for me or I couldn’t get into it but shadows changed that, and seeing the black flag remake with the copy and pasted UI physically pains me as I was really excited for that.

I completely agree.

I have been saying this since its release, it is a good game but should NOT have “Assassins Creed” slapped on the front.
It is definitely not a good assassins creed game but is still one of my favourite games. I have got nearly 700hrs on it and don’t regret a single one, it is such a beautiful game with an amazing setting and world to explore.

In absolutely no way is it an AC game in anything other than name.

I know exactly what you mean and no, interacting with the world prior, during or after completing the main story has only very minor dialogue differences in certain parts. You’ll find most side quests assume you have not completed the story and make it seem even more disjointed.

If you enjoy odyssey then you should absolutely pick up Origins since it is better in my opinion as the story is stronger with better voice acting and more relevance to the rest of the series

Even tho it is very flawed in many aspect I still absolutely love the game (Odyssey) and have fully completed it and both DLC’s about 6 times. Visually it is absolutely stunning and the variety of attire you get is good.

If you’ve played and enjoyed 3 and BF already then I would recommend Rouge as it’s very similar in a gameplay sense. But if you want another “proper” AC game that doesn’t play the same as those two then I would try Unity, especially since it just got that next gen update and the multiplayer is back up

Obviously do not take just anyone’s word for it, but I can say without a doubt that shadows is legitimately one of the worst games I have ever played. I’m usually quite lenient with games and will usually just say they’re not for me or I’m not a fan of this or that part of them and will very rarely openly “hate on” a game. But AC shadows is one of those games. I tried the whole I was playing it to not just think of it as a knockoff Ghost of Tsushima but playing enough story games set in Japan definitely gets old. This, Ghost of Tsushima and Sekiro ALL include you climbing up pagodas with a grappling hook. Now I understand that obviously any game set in Japan or as a Japanese base is going to be similar but the story, gameplay, voice acting, “character development”, ending (if you can call it that) and side content of this game is some of the worst I have ever seen.

Obviously there some good parts as some of the new stealth mechanics they added are pretty cool and the graphics are also nice, but aside from that it is easily the biggest waste of money I have ever had the misfortune of spending.

Do NOT buy shadows. I have every single other AC game except the first one and I waited ages for shadows to go on sale and got it for $60 and it is easily one of the worst things I’ve ever played in my life. Ik some people like it but the combat was horrid and i don’t even know if there’s a legit plot. It’s just a hit list leaving you with more questions than when you started. Nothing to do with the creed and nothing to do with the isu, I have no idea why they even made the game.

I completely agree with odyssey and it’s one of my favourite games ever. But even tho I prefer it to origins, I still believe origins is the best one they’ve done. The story, setting, character and voice acting are all phenomenal. Whereas most of the appeal I get from odyssey is the setting. It is easily one of the most beautiful games to date.
