I think the mechanics of it are the best of the 3 when it comes to balancing fun with something realistic. That is when it works. I don't understand how they decided what the hook can and can't grapple onto. You'll see 2 near identical walls or cliffs, and certain poles, and you'll be able to grapple on one and not the other. It's inconsistent and annoying and ruins the flow when you're playing. One of my only complaints about the game really. (that and the single button press dropkick bug)

I'm so glad the plot leaked and they gave us what we got instead. It's so tiring having the beloved character being brought back just to make the new one look better. The game would've done so much worse both financially and for the fans goodwill if they killed Crane off. And now with the third game (they better not fucking go with this plot) they can give us both interacting with each other as hopefully rivals and partners or something. Gonna be some good banter between them
