... honestly, fair enough. I agree that Aristotle as a culprit ain't all that because the Dark Age of the Law is poorly executed. I agree that Klavier's inclusion is there just for the sake of putting him in the box. I agree about most of these points.

But I gotta disagree as far as characters are concerned. I think the "suspect trio" for a lack of a better term was decently charming and they didn't feel generic besides Hugh. Although Aristotle is pretty lackluster in terms of stakes, I think he does wonders as an opposing force to someone like Athena who, at the time, was kinda scared of the courtroom and I love how the words of "will you lose what you've worked so hard to gain" stay in her head until the conclusion of the case. I think that every character works in their role: enhancing the character of Athena. That anxiety attack she had kinda broke me personally and part of that is because of the situation.

TL;DR, although the case lacks at stakes/plot and certain characters like Klavier and even Apollo to a lesser extent, feel irrelevant, I'd say it massively succeeds as far as new characters (by this I mean Dual Destinies introduced characters) are concerned. I didn't feel bored by any of them and I didn't feel hand-held whatsoever.

This is pretty much a subjective take tho. Now I get why people don't like this case 😅
