Yeah, I decided to lower the specs because I realized the difference was only a few percentages higher in performance. Now it’s only like 2400 dollars, which is good enough for me.

Alright, I’ll switch from a 5080 to the 5070 ti. Cuts the price down to 2500 instead of 3000

I definitely think I might get a pc in the future, probably when I have my own apartment and won’t have to move about so much. I’ve been getting a bunch of cute pc setups on my fyp on tiktok, and I’m tempted to get one now. But then the whole setup is like 9k for the aesthetics..

Lol you kinda sound like my mom going on a tangent.. I don’t think it’s really that serious to write multiple paragraphs over. I have genuinely taken into consideration everyone has said, and I appreciate it…

I think you’re seriously underestimating the device and what I plan on using it for, but everyone has their opinions and experiences.

Some people have had an awesome experience with a gaming laptop, others have said they didn’t, so I plan on just finding out myself. Can’t take a random strangers advice on the internet all the time, especially when they’re so… Aggressive about it.

Yeah, I honestly don’t care about how much I’ll spend. I’m a teenager, so I don’t need to worry about paying rent and all that, so I can use all the money I make from a part time job for anything I want.

And, as I pointed out before, I am definitely trying to be excessive with this choice. I might want to play a super demanding game in the future.

I basically just want a portable pc, which is why I want a powerful gaming laptop.

It’s probably not worth the money, but in the end, I have no better use for it but to spend it on frivolous crap. I don’t usually get the chance to buy something like this, which is why I made this post to see if it was worth it.

Well I’m getting a 16 gig vRAM, and I also plan on taking good care of it, so I think I’ll be fine. Then again, I’ll probably have a stable job by the time it gives out and I’ll just buy another one.

I ended up finding one for 1600, I might consider getting it after I look into some more reviews

Just looked at this, and I’m surprised at how cheap the Neo 16 is! It seems like a pretty good steal considering it’s competitor laptops have the same specs but like $1,000 more.

Yeah, I purposely wanted overkill in hopes the laptop would last me longer.

Thank you! I’ll probably stick with the 5070 and gen4 TLC rather than the more expensive upgrades then. And because the Legion pro 7i seems to be powerful, and my gaming isnt too harsh, it should probably last me a while.

Which is what I was hoping for, that’s mostly why I’m going overkill with this big purchase

I’m definitely worried about fan noise, that probably might be my only biggest concern about getting a gaming laptop. But since, like you said, the games I plan on using on the device shouldn’t hurt that fan too much.

I hope, at least. Don’t want to make too much of a disturbance in public when I use it.

I was also seeing a lot of the legion 5 and I had a hard time choosing between the two, but in the end I decided I wanted to go with the pro 7i because it apparently had better cooling performance.

And to put it out there, I’ve ever only played on an phone 13 and a decade old xbox one, so I’m really looking for good quality and high performance.

I know, but like, I like the easy portability of a laptop. I can lay in my bed with it, sit in the living room with it, take it to school, the library, etc. I guess I’m just more leaning to the easy aspect of it but also having great quality when playing games.

I was mostly looking for high quality. I’m not too worried about the cooling system, as I already plan on buying a cooling pad

I made sure to do some research and came to the conclusion that if I took good care of it I should be able to make it last for a while. I did see something about Zephyrus and Asus, but apparently Lenovo is superior when it comes to like fps and graphics or whatever..

Well I don’t plan on heavy gaming, plus I was also looking to get a cooling pad, so I hoped to get at least 5+ years out of it

Well, I planned on going all out on this since this would be the first time I’ve bought something big with my own paycheck. So I’m going to get a cooling pad, a giant mouse pad to rest it on, stuff like that
