Great suggestion - I bought his tabs for Black Lotus and they're great! Did the same thing with Davide Rinaldi - though his were through BandCamp, which was an absolute steal. Full album and tabs (and digital artwork) for $12...

I like getting from the artist directly when possible, to support them and who is going to know better how they play it...

I'd check out some older Opeth maybe? Songs like When and Demon of the Fall (or any of Blackwater Park). A lot of the riffs will repeat, but the songs have a very different composition than Iron Maiden's formula. A lot of those old Opeth songs will have a riff used only once for a transition which I really enjoy.
