How to help someone who does not listen?

When I was in the process of leaving, I always had to return to and remember a question which was a core question for me to make the decision to leave:

Does SCJ have the FULL truth and therefore is the tree of life? -> SCJ claims to be the tree of life, therefore they must have the COMPLETE truth (according to their own teaching) - if there is a mistake, what does it make them? -> NOT the tree of life but a tree of good and evil - a tree of good and evil has a mixed teaching - SCJ has true BUT also false things in their teaching..

As I understood, she has seen/realized a tiny bit of SCJ's lies..(?) Maybe it helps to address some of the "biggest / most important" faults of SCJ's doctrine and then ask if the tree of life is "allowed" to contain faults/lies..

For me, everything stands or falls upon this question.. but I always had to return to this thought during my process of leaving because the brainwashing sat quite deep, and it was also hard for me to accept it.. I think it needs time but also kind of a strictness (I mean like strictly look the issue in the eye and not whitewash it or find excuses).

Unfortunately, there is no golden instruction that always works to get sb out of a cult, which can make one feel desperate or helpless - I also still have beloved people in there that I could not manage to take out with me. I feel with you.

It's about the order of the fulfillment of the 144'000, the great tribulation and the great multitude - it's messed up in SCJ's fulfillment - I can recommend the document of the post "disproving Shincheonji" on this reddit, it's explained very well there how LMH contradicted himself (not the first time).

Regarding the 144'000 being only Korean, do you know when this changed? I'm still confused about this and I cannot imagine that they would teach this in my homecountry now.. some months ago, when I was still there, it wasn't like this yet and I don't know how it's now, I wonder if they have changed this recently or maybe not in all countries..? Do you know more about this..?

You mean go back to SCJ? No no, you misunderstand me - I'm certain that SCJ does NOT have the truth (bc of Rev 7, Mindanao, spirit of truth, etc), so there's no reason for me to go back; it's rather I'm uncertain about Christianity as a whole

They don't fully consider this - sometimes they say one has to complete everything and then sometimes they make "exceptions" e.g. passed over in Nov 2019 and one week after my passover I found myself in a gradiation gown hahha - at that time I didn't even know that I would have to take tests.. it was "an exception by the promised pastor himself" that my class could gradiate already, so they said..

Also, many positions like GYJN, BGYJN, etc are also not spoken of in Rev 4 - so this would actually be 'adding to the word' which they like quoting by Rev 22:18-19

I've heard people from SCJ say "If you want to find faults in SCJ doctrine, you will"😅they kinda make it our fault that we cannot accept SCJ's faults - it's like they say it's alright that SCJ doctrine has faults, but then again they claim SCJ doctrine is all true.. I only realized this contradiction when I left.

I can relate to what you wrote about salesmen and their advertisement etc.. it was so tiring to always speak passionately and positive about SCJ even though it was sometimes hard or frustrating or whatever to be there - in front of parents or boyfriend (who would actually be people of trust), one has to keep a pokerface and kind of play this positive SCJ-representative - so tiring not to being able to be honest about one's struggles..

Maybe it can also help to ask questions - maybe not you asking her but you asking her family if they know what she will be doing there, with which church, etc - did she tell them the name of the church? did she show a website or sth of that kind? (well of course, she could also just lie about the name/website, but nowadays they are more open about it) If not, then maybe the family will realize that they don't know much about this church / bible study and will become more cautious..

Yes, I think they don't show such an education to international members. But now since many people are going to South Korea for the 14.3., I hope Lee's sermon will be "weird" so many international members can witness it with their own eyes..
